I remember going when I was a kid. I got free tickets from my school and always had a helluva time under the shadow of Big Tex.

Girlfriend and I went a week or so ago and it was a good time. Had the traditional corn dogs, had some stuffed olive things, and funnel cake. Went through the car show and drooled over the new Dodge Challenger. Man, what a nice lookin car. Then went to some frisbee dog extravaganza which was pretty neat.

On the way out, swung by and got some taffy for the road. I guess you can tell by my post that I really only go to eat.

The State Fair of Texas is one of the best in the nation.

They do a good job there.
