Statement from the team about McCarthy

Turn up the heat, media.

When summarized like that by Meirov, its downright frustrating.
I don't think he has ever seen this pressure, especially from the national media. As one writer put it, don't think for a second he and his family are not hearing it or don't know it out there.

Statement should have read: "Well, I screwed this up too. Just another fine mess I made of things running the Cowboys into the ground." SIGNED: Thanks, Jerry
I think this is it (with a fig leaf). It's strange that Jerry mentioned contract negotiations at all, in a message moving on.

I suspect they sent some initial feelers to Mike's agent about some (relatively) lowball contract, and not even in the context of an offer, but more of a "if we make an offer, this would be the shape of it". And the agent told them to pound sand. And then Jerry "mutually moved on".

As much as I am an advocate for change up and down with this team, his Chat GPT scripted statement is a pile of donkey crap. One can have a legit argument that MM proved his coaching abilities this year, while being forcefully handcuffed to a rash of injuries, and poor managemnt roster building. The time to can MM was after the GB game last yera, yet here we are. Jerry will not attract a top coaching candidate to come here unless he provides keys to his Yacht....and we know where that burnt offering is

It really has.

There is no doubt that we are now one of the worst run franchises in sports. The only thing holding us from total oblivion is the fact we had a run of good drafts that produced some quality players as well as a few stars - Parsons, Lamb, etc. That's enough to keep us relevant.

But as the star/better players get older and/or leave and Jerry continues to muddle through drafts and ignore FA, this team is going to slip further and further away.

This is the first time I can remember as a Cowboys fan that I have little to no hope.
I remember sarcastically joking about Al Davis during his later years. Karma is a b!tch. I feel foolish thinking JJ would never be that bad.

Al has met his match

There's only One Direction that Jerry's Organization does not head to:
Playoff Success.

Whoop de do! Who’s the next HC/OC Dak gets run off? Take the handcuffs off and kick Dak’s sorry *** to the curb. To heck with the money, the cap or whatever other excuse this organization and fanboys say.

John Tuld to Sarah Robertson (Margin Call)
Or Jerry Jones to Fat Mike:
"We all ***** this one up pretty good..."

Worst part about the statement:

The heading under the star
STATEMENT FROM COWBOYS OWNER, PRESIDENT AND GENERAL MANAGER JERRY JONES

A beautiful statement by the King of the Cowboys Mr Jerry Jones! Bravo…

Hahaha they had to get ahead of it and put their own spin on it. King Jerry!

"Owner, President, and General Manager" is disgusting o_O
Can't just write "A statement from Jerry Jones"? Got to run down the whole list like no one is aware. It truly is disgusting!

Mike probably asked for a bunch of changes and Jerry said no.
Nope no changes, Jerry would say, we are still right there hanging around the rim. If Dak, Lawrence, Zach, Parsons wouldn’t have gotten hurt we would have been right there

A respectful statement that didn't denigrate Mike McCarthy in any way. That's good. If you're going to part ways, this is the way to do it.

What do you mean, "turn up the heat?" Jones already has the Cowboys in NFL Hell. There is no way to turn up the heat anymore.

It’s shocking to me that the number of years couldn’t be agreed upon for an extension rather than the teams performance
