Staubach

This isn't really a thread that will spur a lot of interesting discussion, but did everyone notice how smoothly and effortlessly a 76 year old Roger Staubach threw the football into the crowd? He's still the man.
Yes....and he threw it right at the Pittsburgh Steeler fans!! :p

So much of what Roger is about is as much what he is off the field as he was on it. He's about as rare a man as they come.

Absolutely true. If anybody hasn't seen the episode of "A Football Life" about Staubach, they really should. It's a must see for any Cowboy fan, even you younger ones who don't remember him, but are interested in the history of the team. I think any football would love it.

He's taking great care of himself

Most impressive thing of the night....in a night where not only did a 19 year old get drafted, but his brother ALSO gets drafted in the 1st round for the first time, Shazier walked on stage.....it was a great draft night last night.

He had a cannon for an arm..he probably threw it harder than I can now

I noticed. Maybe he could be our 2nd round pick?

And it's not just eating right and exercising. For him to throw like that he must still be getting out and throwing a ball regularly. Probably still playing touch football with kids and grandkids, and he's the designated QB.

Besides his awesome throw it was funny seeing how small he was compared to Troy and Jason. Easy to forget how big Troy was. Those monster hands of his.
