One pattern I have noticed with this team is at times they will come out and break tendencies, only to fall right back into old patterns as the game progresses.

Last week was a perfect example of this. Early on it was clear they made a concerted effort to get Zeke involved, giving him 9 carries in their first couple of possessions and getting him involved in the passing game with screens etc. After the 9 minute mark, he had 3 more carries and got zero screen passes.

The defense came out aggressive early on and blitzed Josh Allen quite a bit, especially on third down, only to abandon that as the game progressed in favor of their patented bend don't break style and they paid for it.

To me, this is another thing JG has to be better at. He needs to be in contact with his coordinators to ensure they stay aggressive.

I have seen this scenario play out far too often in his tenure, the head coach has to be the guy to steady the ship and make sure the gameplan gets carried out throughout the game.

I think the defense needs to be a lot more aggressive. Throw some all out blitzes if certain situations, like 3rd and 10 on the opponents 2 yard line. Jam receivers on the LOS and bump them off their routes, especially guys like Beasley. Be tougher all over the field. The Cowboys are a team that gets punched in the nose and they fold. Punch the f back!

FG's FG's. Maher is ready.... to miss tonight.
Those 9 mph winds are horrid for him. :lmao:

If the score was closer the Bears wouldn't have gone prevent so early. Don't kid yourself.

These games are all about momentum. Missing the field goal and then having the Bears score was demoralizing to the team at the end of the half. No doubt the Bears played differently in prevent, but those missed opportunities always leave you wondering. Haha

Missing 30 tackles isn't great for one's ego either, I would imagine.

the only thing garret needs to get better at is driving in the snow next year
...it's hard to clap while driving but I'm sure he'll look at each opportunity to evaluate his skill and add to his performance day by day....he can stay in Chicago and fly out to NY tonight
