Steal of the draft!

I don’t think so Catch. IMO the thinking is that if Biadasz goes out with injury, they want to slide C Williams over to center and bring in C McGovern at LG.

They are just preparing for a scenario where Biadasz isn’t available.

At least that’s how I see it at this (admittedly) early point.

Shouldn’t they feel more confident in Martin sliding to center if a injury occurs?

Philly has been recently striking out on draft picks at WR. Took Whiteside-Ortega over Metcalf and Reagor over Jefferson.
They are literally falling into receivers and they are picking the wrong ones…it’s amazing when you think about it. Jefferson and Metcalf wee graded higher than both guys they took.

Hightower is simply too skinny and lacks strength. I would imagine he wasn't good last year because he got pushed around. 6-3/175 is a beanpole. "He struggles against press coverage and is too easily knocked off his route. Has issues playing through contact when the ball is in the air."

The guy had a first rd grade on him before he got hurt at Wisconsin if I remember right. Hurt his jr year and played his sr year trying to come back from injury. Glad his stock dropped.

No idea man. Zack could play at any spot on the OL, and do it at an all-pro level, probably.

All I know is they they’re practicing Williams as the primary backup at center.

What makes most sense to me is to have made McGovern the primary backup at C and G and bring him to games as the swing interior guy… but what do I know?

That's what is so confusing. Why shift 2 guys around if a player goes down?

Well, we got just the CB to cover him, 6'4" Wright.

Wouldn't shock me.....

The question is are they trying to get their best 5 on the field and is Biadascz apart of that 5.

Williams can work more double teams at center so that should help with his strength issues but the question is will he get pushed back. The #1 goal is to allow space for Dak to step up and if the interior gets knocked backwards it’s bad for the QB.

Biadasz could very well be the steal of the draft from last year. To get this guy in the 4th round is incredible. I know he isnt getting a lot of hype like some of these other kids, but I believe from watching him that this guy is going to be one of the better centers in the NFL in the coming years and he is the new anchor of the Oline. I anticipate seeing those big holes up the middle that Zeke enjoyed when Fredbeard was in charge.

I like Biadasz, but I'm starting to see something unexpectedly special coming from Connor Williams suddenly playing Center. Connor is quicker, stronger, bigger and is showing he can actually play the position pretty good. Connor also has manhandled the NFL's Defensive Player Of The Year (Aaron Donald) pretty badly recently, so I'm keeping my eyes both on Biadasz and Connor Williams for the starting Center position.

First of all, I'll be hoping Badasz manages to overcome the injury woes that plagued him last year. Despite that, however, he has definitely shown a reasonable degree of promise. It's my fervent hope that he'll be able to enable all of us to honor him as the answer to our loss of Fredbeard.

If all his buddies are healthy he is in some good company.
Smith - Williams - Biadasz - Martin - Collins

First off, you arent watching close enough. Williams does NOT look good at center. Go watch the tape. All they are doing is getting him some reps incase they need a backup. I will even go as far as to say that Biadasz is the better player than Williams. I am very confident about that straight up.

And secondly.......................Williams has NOT BY ANY STRETCH manhandled Donald. That is laughable. All you can really say is that he has held his own.

Where in the world did it get started that Williams has strength issues? If he's being knocked around, it's due to balance or technique or positioning. Williams was noted for his strength coming in.

Sounds like something people started saying and then others started repeating it w/o checking the veracity. Williams has excellent core strength and has a power packed frame. He's also had several injury issues which is what caused him to drop to the 2nd to begin w/.

This isnt rocket science. They dont have a legitimate backup at center so they are giving Williams reps there. Nothing complicated about it. Makes complete sense as their BEST backup plays the same position as Williams. Williams may also NOT be returning after this season so they are giving McGovern as many reps as possible to analyze if he can do the job at guard.

This is a perfect example of you just dont get it. Its not complicated and it makes all the sense in the world what they are doing. How you cant put together the logic and simplicity of it is odd.
