Steal of the draft!

I like Biadasz, but I'm starting to see something unexpectedly special coming from Connor Williams suddenly playing Center. Connor is quicker, stronger, bigger and is showing he can actually play the position pretty good. Connor also has manhandled the NFL's Defensive Player Of The Year (Aaron Donald) pretty badly recently, so I'm keeping my eyes both on Biadasz and Connor Williams for the starting Center position.

And while you are at it, go watch the tape of Biadasz. The guy is great.

All the better :) I wonder who Philly took with the pick we traded.

Does it really matter who they picked. I will say this that they (Howie Roseman) suck at drafting. They're good at trades though but you can't build a team like that. A lot of that 2017 key players were the result of trades but their overall talent level continues to degrade.

Biadasz was a steal. I think he'll be a strong center.

The steal of the draft will forever be Lamb or Diggs if they continue on the path we think they will. I feel like the fans feel better about Biadiasz than the staff does. I know I think he’s gonna be a stud and fit right in….do the coaches though?
Include Joseph, Parsons, Diggy, and even Josh Ball as possible steals.

No doubt.

It's all relative.
If you get any sort of long-term contribution from the 146th pick (one slot before 5th round) you have done well.

Those 1st and 2nd rounders BETTER be at least long-term starters, or you screwed up.
Both appear to be just that and possibly much more
:flagwave:

As good as Lamb is, we know we have a ton of trade offers to move down.
Minnesota's 1st, 3rd and 6th could've given us WR Justin Jefferson, CB Cam Danzler, and the 6th.....for example.

Both teams did well, so no looking back at this stage

I feel you...but we are passed long term starters with Diggs and Lamb.

And to me Justin Jefferson and Lamb aren't the same caliber. I mean that with all due respect to Jefferson's rookie campaign. He had a great year and I understand people thinking he's better. But when you watch both of these guys on film and play....Lamb just looks like the better player. He just needs to get the few drops he had in check.

If Biadiz ends up with the same credentials as Fredericks than i'd probably agree with you. We are are some ways from that though.

Did he do something in the practices against the Rams because from everything I've read he's not even getting all the starter reps at the moment.

First off, you arent watching close enough. Williams does NOT look good at center. Go watch the tape. All they are doing is getting him some reps incase they need a backup. I will even go as far as to say that Biadasz is the better player than Williams. I am very confident about that straight up.

And secondly.......................Williams has NOT BY ANY STRETCH manhandled Donald. That is laughable. All you can really say is that he has held his own.
I played the position...very well. You didn't. You acting like you know more is laughable. Thanks for the laughs. Needed that this morning.

Where in the world did it get started that Williams has strength issues? If he's being knocked around, it's due to balance or technique or positioning. Williams was noted for his strength coming in.

Sounds like something people started saying and then others started repeating it w/o checking the veracity. Williams has excellent core strength and has a power packed frame. He's also had several injury issues which is what caused him to drop to the 2nd to begin w/.

Probably by watching him and seeing that he is a get in the way blocker and not a guy that moves people.

Agree.. Lamb is more physically gifted than Jefferson and has a higher ceiling.

It's all good.
We got great players in the 1st and 2nd.

My point with Lamb is Minnesota got both Jefferson (who many feel is as good or better than Lamb) and good starting CB Danzler for that value.

That was all. But trading down is a risk, because what if those players aren't there.

Lamb was such a good value at 17, I never complained about us not trading down.....though I would've understood it if we had given how much that pick is worth.

Yep. But I can't argue against anyone who says Jefferson has been better because he has. I thought he'd have a impact but I never thought it would be that quick.

Yeah.. The thing is Lamb was asked to do less, has more around him, and we didn’t get the best QB play.

If I’m drafting re-drafting I take Lamb all day over Jefferson but I’ll say this.. I want to see Lamb play out of the slot and line up out wide and see what he does.

If he can’t do anything out of the slot then Jefferson will end up being the better player.

So you'd take Dantzler and Jefferson over Lamb and Diggs?

Yeah and that's another thing....Lamb did his with a QB carousel and with two other receivers. I'm shocked Lamb's stats were as good as they were honestly.

Biadasz could very well be the steal of the draft from last year. To get this guy in the 4th round is incredible. I know he isnt getting a lot of hype like some of these other kids, but I believe from watching him that this guy is going to be one of the better centers in the NFL in the coming years and he is the new anchor of the Oline. I anticipate seeing those big holes up the middle that Zeke enjoyed when Fredbeard was in charge.
He is going to be good. I do miss Fredbeard though. He was amazing. Was really hoping he would come back.

I don't think he will be the "steal of the draft" but I do think he will be really good. He needs to get stronger but most OL do when they come in the league. His techniques and fundamentals are strong.

Well its not like CW man slammed the kicker,, this is the WWF after all, and he went after the toughest man on the Rams roster...
In all seriousness though, this OL is better with Williams at LG and Biadasz at C.
Im in no way knocking any thread, regardless position, but OL is the least of this teams issues.
