Steele at LT

Seriously makes you wonder about Connor Williams ability. We all think he would be the natural tackle but the refusal to move him tells me he sucks as a tackle. Blind side Tackle is the most important position on the line. When you are playing Steele at LT instead of a Williams it says a lot.
Afraid so.

With the implosion of the OL now..

I can not figure out what this team is as far as identity.

I suppose it's my fault.

I am always the 1st to join and the last to give up.

This could get real ugly today. Of coarse it's Atlanta again which we had the Chaz Green nightmare against. Let's see if this staff does a better job protecting these backups and developing a game plan around them to be successful. I am expecting a big dose of Zeke Elliot this afternoon, with a lot of three step drops from Dak to get the ball out quickly. This could be a very important, early game with this new regime, as the last staff proven time after time they never could overcome such injuries in the past.

Short passes.

Of course clueless fans will blame Dak for not attempting many throws down the field, because it's too hard of a concept for them to understand that you need pass protection for longer developing plays.

We don't even have the TE's to realistically use max protections today.

Honestly...……..if the Cowboys game plan today is NOT to get the ball out quickly in the passing game, then they will never do it.

I like the 2 RB set with our 2 guys because we know Zeke can block like a TE, run down everyone's throat and catch out the backfield. Pollard is a capable blocker, a great pass catcher and can run the ball well as well.

Then of course we have our 3 starting WR's so our 5 best skill position players are on the field at the same time, we get the ball out faster if need be and disguise our offense better.

They don't know if we're running or passing out of this set and it offers some protection if need be.

I would agree if we were talking about Z Martin. But when it’s a guy who played Tackle in college and has gotten his arse handed to him for 2 years now at guard, he doesn’t seem to be an immovable player.

We really miss a healthy Travis Frederick.

Connor Williams has been much better than fans believe.

The broadcast searches for examples of bad plays against the Super Star that they want to highlight.

They like to highlight Aaron Donald and therefore later in the game they search the early plays to find when an OL was bad vs Donald.

All OL have had bad plays vs Aaron Donald if they've played enough snaps against him..

Last season before his injury, CW was playing really well. His ability to pick up and hand off blitzing and stunting pass rushers was terrific.
- He was better than at LG last season than when La'el played LG.

:lmao2::lmao2::lmao2::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

This one is over before it began.

Lets see how many sacks DAK allows today.
The thought process of a blind hater. 2 starting Tackles out with injuries, Dak will allow the sacks.

if they don’t then this coaching staff is no different than when Garrett was here. No adjustments to the personal on the field.

I like both players. Not sure either is ready at this point, though.

I like it. And they can put one of the backs in motion at times. Gotta be a quick passing game.

LOL...…..here we go again. I gotta admire the hope that you have without analysis.

He is the modern day version of Kyle Kosier for the majority of Cowboy Fans. Like Kosier, Connor is vastly underrated by the Cowboy Fan base.

That's a good comparison but Williams has the physical skills to be well above average. Kosier was very solid for a low price, Williams is already better than Kosier however.

I know people use Donalds dominance as an excuse for Connor. Problem is Donald had a pressure rate around 36% last week. His pressure rate was only 18% all of last season.
So I just can't say Connor played just as good as everyone or just had a few cherry picked bad plays.

I think many fans were shaking their head when Connor was anointed the starting RG spot his rookie year. People wondered why the bigger more physical guy (lael collins) was moved to Tackle.
It certainly appears we have been playing both guys out of position for a while now.

Connor Williams doesnt look like crap every game. Many teams have subpar DT's. The problem is he isnt strong enough to be anything more than a speed bump in too many cases. They want him to be prime Zach Martin but so far I don't think many can disagree the LG position hasnt been a strength since he was anointed the position.

Maybe he would stink it up at Tackle? His strength seems to be agility so who knows.

If McCarthy does not have a game-plan for this situation and Dak is dropping back looking for receivers 20 yards downfield, I am officially off the McCarthy bandwagon.

The RDE and LDE for Atlanta just made a lot of money
