Shhhhhh, don't you know yet.. we are in the middle of a tanking season. Things are going smoothly as planned. keep it in the down low.
We don't want the commissioner to get a hold of this and then make a rule that a team cannot tank, knowingly or unknowingly.

I’d kick Connor Williams out to right tackle and let McGovern play left guard. Williams is a athletic finesse player who is wasted at guard. He has been a middling left guard at best. I’d try him at left tackle if he had longer arms. It seemed like Erving did ok at left tackle tonight and I’d go with Brandon Knight at LT once he’s healthy. We used a 2nd round pick on Connor Williams and a 3rd round pick on McGovern. It’s time to see if they are the answer or not.

Yeah, dude has no business starting right now. I like trying new players but, at tackle you have the chance to get your QB hurt.

Either plug in Martin or try Williams.

I think they should do surgery on Williams arms with those lengthning braces and make his arms longer so he can be a tackle. That's where he belongs

I can understand not wanting to move our single All Pro out of position. Can't understand why Williams hasn't been training for T. His main problem is dealing with powerful DTs, which wouldn't be an issue at T.

But yeah, we've got better interior oline depth than at T. I'm annoyed McGovern isnt' getting play time.

Williams has become an OK LG, but his ceiling at G is probably Kyle Kosier. Solid guy who gives good movement but always struggle with power inside.

I'd be pushing McGovern over Williams at G. He'll be here longer, and is already stronger.

Hmmm, though I suppose with Knight and even Steele, we've got our backup Ts for the future with Tyron and Collins back.

Think I'd still rather have Williams competing for T. Don't know that Steele will ever be quality, while Williams may be. He might even be a similar Kosier level at T, which is just move valuable.

Yup. I know MM has brought up "consistency" with the line play on why Steele goes back out there but he sucks, consistently. I can't harp on him too much being an UDFA tackle, but the guy isn't ready to play every game now or ever.
So, either it's the coaches being stubborn and not playing the best 5 or Martin is complaining about being moved. Cause it doesn't make much sense keeping Steele out there

And they've got at least three other tackles floating around the roster as well. I know a guy like Jordan Mills has played at the NFL level before. They could even give one if those guys a shot if they absolutely refuse to put Martin out there.

Agreed, I can't believe that Looney wouldn't be an upgrade over Williams at LG, and Williams wouldn't be an upgrade over Steele at RT.

its not a simple plug and play. more than any other unit, the OL works as a group, like a music ensemble...everyone has to play their parts, understand their parts, etc. Martin maybe better....I say Maybe, but who will play RG and how will they play together....

I am not opposed to it, but you can't just plug and play OL men. that much is painfully obvious
