I have to agree with you on that (for non cowboy days). My neighbor plays for the Jags so I sort of adopted them as my AFC team and the Skins lose. Today was a better day than I expected.

I agree with that.....but still.....?

I hear ya...but the flip side to this game is that it will remind the Jags that football is played for 4 quarters and not 3. If they can get this same type of lead over the Pats next week going into the 4th quarter, you can bet the house that Del Rio will be there to remind them of this.

I like their chances if that happens...

So, Who's your neighbor?

Fat Chance. Garrard was awful tonight imo.

Pats by at least 14, if the weather is good probably more.

A big part of the Jags winning was horrible QB play in the first half of Roethlisberger. Brady isnt Ben. He isnt gonna have tunnel vision and start throwing INT's left and right.

I'd take those odds. These Steelers were being thoroughly whipped upon by the Jags until about midway through the 4th quarter. That's when things started to fall apart for them, what with the miscues and a couple of bad no-calls by the refs. I would be very surprised if they allow it to happen again this post-season. If for nothing else, I'd expect the game against the Pats next week to be one of the most physical matchups that the Patriots have faced all season. The Jags aren't planning to simply "rollover" for them just because New England believes they're the team of destiny this year.

Pats could very well win it...but there's no way it will be by 14. JMHO

i only watched the first quarter and parts of 4th (dinner w/a sister), and when I watched it, I saw the refs favoring pitt (esp. that facemask by Ward that was called PI on 4th down). was this true throughout? how was jax? they seemed to play well when I was watching...

One thing that Brady hasn't had to deal much with this season is pressure from the opposing defense. The Jags managed to sack Big Ben six times tonight (not including the countless times he was under pressure and forced to make the errant throw or three). This will add a new wrinkle that Brady will have to deal with and last I looked, he isn't that much better than Roth when it comes to avoiding the rush.

I've already stated that the Pats will probably win it but it's going to be a lot closer score than what some of you believe.

We'll see...

Unless weather is a major factor, the Jags D will have problems. They dont have enough speed to contain Welker and Moss and Brady doesnt hold on to the ball too long like Roethlisberger does. They're gonna need the temperature to be on their side so they can eliminate the inconsistent running game of the Pats.

I wonder if the Jags can pressure Brady like that... He's definitely not as mobile as Rothlisburger though... I believe Jacksonville's only chance to win the game is clock control with running the ball and hitting the TE's and jam the Patriots WRs at the line.

Ben can move around decently well, but he holds the ball entirely too long. I think he's going to turn into another Bledsoe later in his career. Big arm, will throw a bone-headed int on occasion, and holds the ball entirely too long.
