The question becomes...if they do indeed trade him does that mean they are automatically in the hunt for Clausen? Do they wait till the second or later round to get another QB or do they just stick with what they have on their roster.

Interesting to say the least and I don't see how the bills would not jump on that trade.

I think they go w/ the vets plus Dennis Dixon and a mid rounder drafted. Not someone lame like Claussen.

He'd get killed behind their offensive line.

Even after the suspension? I wouldn't do that. He's coming off a sub par season and is not the right look for any franchise right now.

If he's so good, why's he available? :D

Franchise QBs are hard to come by... especially one with two rings and is relatively still young. Despite his shortcomings off the field, a team like the Bills, Raiders, and Rams who are starving for success will jump at getting him over wondering if one of the qbs in the draft will pan out.

The reason why he is available is because he just happen to on a team whose ownership has a high moral compass and won't tolerate the possiblity of tarnishing the organization as a whole.

And from all the reports I have read, Ben R. is scared straight... so he would definitely be a good addition to the horrible teams mentioned. Yeah, they won't have him for 4 - 6 games, but in the end, they will be better off then they were before.

Can you imagine being a Steeler fan lately? Total chaos and virtually no hope for the 2010 season.

If a trade for Roethlisberger goes down odds are it will be with Cleveland. Holmgren would love to have a proven QB like Roethlisberger.

On the flip side, the Ravens and Cinn fans must be enjoying this debacle.

Yeah...if they could wind up having two first rounders they could even trade down with one of them to get extra picks for a QB the liked later in the draft.

Or they could shore up their O-Line in the 1st round with an OT and a OG or Center.

So many things they could do.

I wonder if they would trade both 1st rounders to move up to the rams spot and take bradford.

So many scenarios.

They should put him on craigslist or ebay.

FOR SALE

Superbowl qb, needs a new home. Requires a 6 week vacation before he will work again and is not house broken.
Will hump everything in sight. Not yet neutered.

No way do they trade with their most hated rivals. They aren't the Eagles haha.

Friend at work is a steelers fan and he keeps joking that the Cowboys are trading for Ben. He is just joking but still funny as he would also say Tony Homo as a joke in the past and now when he says the Cowboys are trading for Ben I tell him that we don't want RuthlessRaper.

If they trade him though wouldn't you love to see the signs the Steeler fans will have for the Cleveland @ Pittsburgh game?

Unless they want an OT and someone like Pouncey.

Been funny because I have heard the steelers like pretty much everyone we would like to have from Iupati, Thomas and Pouncey so who knows.

I wouldn't rule out another vet addition as well like Bulger if they absolutely don't see a QB they like in the draft.

I'm for anything that adds more suspense and juice to the draft. I don't see anyone meeting Pitt's price, however.
