Maybe I will be very wrong, and the squeelers will move Rape-us-further.

But I don't think so.

Put me down as predicting he plays for the squeelers.

They want everyone to think they are above activity such as this, .. truth is they aren't.

They have had 8 or 9 player arrests since '06.

The squeelers did nothing.

Santonio Holmes had 3 arrests himself, the third arrest was the year he won SB MVP, they did nothing.

He threw a glass of beer at a girl, they did nothing.

Only when Holmes got the 4 game suspension for drug violation on the coat-tales of Big Ben's rape accusation did they trade him.

Had either of those things not happened he would still be there.

He was the scapegoat for Benny.

If they want to be thought of as high and mighty, then they have to move little ben.

Otherwise they are pretenders.

We shall see.

I don't know you enough not to like you.

What I don't like are folks pathetic enough to claim they're something they're not.

Like this gem claiming you had more insight than Shefter:

Sure sounds like a guy claiming something he's not to me...

And now you're backpedaling from it as fast as you can.

Other people threw out guesses, you talked like you had a guarantee.

Said it a million times and I'll say it one more. I have nothing to prove to anyone here. People here that need to know who I am, who I know and what I have done, know. They verified it, they are comfortable with it, I have been doing what I do too long to feel I need to prove myself all over again.

Ironic part is, I can guarantee our paths have crossed if you post at other football boards or news sites and have treated me just the opposite.

It is what it is and it's not going to change what I do or who I am.

Enjoy the draft!:star:

Raiders enter the Big Ben picture

Not long ago, there was a belief that the Steelers hadn't ruled out a trade of quarterback Ben Roethlisberger in order to scare him regarding the possibility of being traded to Oakland.

Now, he may have good reason to be afraid.

Jason La Canfora of NFL Network reports that the Steelers have been in contact with the Raiders regarding a possible trade, and that Oakland "[m]ight be [the] only real option."

The Steelers apparently want a top-ten pick for Roethlisberger. If the Raiders won't send the eighth overall selection to Pittsburgh, the next question becomes whether the Steelers would begin to consider taking pick 11, 12, or 13.

The 49ers hold the 13th pick, and Roethlisberger grew up rooting for the team.

That read like some type of cool "rage against the machine" style movie line.

There is intererst in Buffalo but not for the 9th pick. An offer has been made but nothing the Steelers are considering right now. The Bills low balled them, but that's how it works.

Even Oakland and crazy Al Davis are not looking to just swap Ben for their #1.

If I were anybody in the top 10 I would do it. Trade a 1st for a young 2 time SB champ? I don't think he will ever get caught doing this "stuff" again.

This guy is good.....real good.

I don't know you need to take the PR hit that comes with it. The QB is the face of your franchise. How do you sell your season ticket holders that the image of your team you want to project is a serial rapist?

And I think you are being naive that he just "won't do it again'. Don't you think the Rooneys had some pretty stern conversations with him the last few times he was accused of this?

Not worth it. If you have a top 10 pick, you're not going anywhere anytime soon anyway. Draft a QB.

Accused is one thing....guilty is another. Is he? Maybe. And don't be so sure that Ben couldn't get you to the playoffs his first year. A team like Seattle, or Browns could be close with a SB QB.

And how do you sell you season ticket holders with NO hopes of winning anytime soon?

In the realm of public opinion, the vast majority of people think he is. The suspension from the league makes it look like they do too.

Technicalities like convictions don't mean anything in marketing. How many people really thought OJ was innocent?

To me it just paints your organization as a 'screw morals, we'll do anything to win' type and most fans want to think better of their teams and management. And most people want to like the guys they are rooting for.

Draft a new QB and market him - Sanchez' face was on everything around here in NY/NJ last year before he played a down. It will be almost as effective without the risk and dirty laundry IMO.

Unless he can bring the Stealer refs with him, he wont be worth it.

They wouldnt have either of those super bowls without them.

I agree.

Personally, I would be disgusted if Ruthlessraper was the face of the Dallas Cowboys.

I'd bet many fans would feel the same way. And given the increasing number of women who watch football, I'd bet most of them feel that way as well.

If Ruthlessraper ever came to the Cowboys I'd have to hang up my gear until he leaves.

Interesting part is Raiders and Bills would have seemed no brainers. And they're not interested.
