Nature of the beast. A lot of regulars of this forum are Gen-X/Boomer types that were spoiled by the old school Cowboys. Not many youngin's are using 25 year old internet forums anymore. Most of them play on YouTube or TikTok. That's how they educate themselves about football now. Unfortunately there is usually only narrow viewpoints (homer-heaven) on those platforms. At least here you get some open discussions and differing viewpoints.
I agree. Which the generations who grew up during those glory eras are very frustrated with current era. After 3 decades with this narcissistic owner and his ways has fueled the anger.

Only winning will help resolve. These forums have never been online when we had a championship team. It certainly would dispel much of the negative rhetoric and talking points we see dominating the airwaves.

He didn't put him in Canton. He basically said, "He's been around a while and he knows what the deal is...".

Ummm...OK? I think the fact that the Dividians FEAST off of this faint-praise validation is telling.

Some people say he sucks, I think he's a good regular season qb, who struggles in the playoffs. He's just like Romo, most people respected him too
Nope. People just like to forget everything on Romo before 2014. Before that, very few people had a high opinion on him.

Dak has just been consistently respected longer, and more hated at the same time. More extreme than Romo, because he's on people's minds more than Romo was due to the fact that he's always around and always playing in January so the media is obligated to talk about him more. Romo was off of lots of people's minds from 2008-2013 because he simply doesn't make the playoffs much.

If you take out the opinions of trolls and wannabe know it alls, most people respect him.

But this board keeps telling us that common knowledge is that he sucks.
If he made it free agency, he wouldn’t have lasted long. Would’ve been signed in the first 8 hours by another team. I don’t know if he get his current salary, but he would’ve still Been a top 5 paid at his position

This board has been dumbed down because of the haters. Period. Fact.

It's a shame because this is a very nice site.
Jekyll and Hyde…both extreme sides are simultaneously right and wrong at the same time.
Then there are those who have seen we cant make it thru 3-4 postseason games needed to win a SB without Hyde showing up at some point derailing it.

Lol what, Always in January? You do realize Dak has only been to the playoffs one more time thsn Romo? They both receive the same amount of hate because they looked lost in the playoffs

Dak is 31 lol. He'll get there like 4 or 5 more times. Is your math ok?

I agree both are bad in the playoffs - tho maybe we can argue who more. Personally, Romo in 2007 was the most disappointing performance from either because that team was the most loaded with expectations and probably the strongest overall either have had. I think Dak in the 2nd San Francisco game was the 2nd most disappointing. Because that team while laid a few weird stinkers in the regular season was a pretty tough team with a strong defense and was kind of a different team than the year previous. If they could've gotten by SF, they could go on to beat the Eagles.and make the Super Bowl.

That's not guaranteed, and do you think history will look kindly if he has 4 or 5 more one and done seasons? Lol

And as far as disappointing, last year had to be the most disappointing season since Ive been a fan. We had everything line up for us, and they blew it. You couldn't have asked for an more friendly path to the championship game

Its gotten so bad that I stay away during games and after a loss for a few days, just because it gets so old hearing the haters non stop complaining. It just like having that one person at work that does nothing but complain. After a while, you just avoid them because they are a miserable person.
This place is night and day after wins. Which makes sense. If you are negative 100 percent is the time what can you say after a W?

I am sure Dak does look like the 2nd coming to Tomlin, who hasn't had even a decent QB since big Ben retired. Compared to the bottom feeders the Steelers have had out there, yes Dak is amazing. Add in that a coach in the NFL is not going to say negative things about other teams players and that Dak is a good QB at times, ,it all makes sense for the compliments.

lmao...what, you can't stand the heat? You are one of them "I want lollypops and rainbows" kind of people, huh?

I never put anyone on ignore, because if I did, I would not get to read the stupid that some posters say.

I don't even have the novelist Blueblood on ignore, I just don't read his books when he posts.

Romo never looked lost. Only the results were the same. His worst playoff game was against Minnesota where his offensive line was terrible against the best defensive line in the league that year. Every other game effectively came down to the end.
