Reports out of Steel curtain land is Big Ben should have hung up the cleats after the Cleveland playoff track meet to end 2020. The backups don’t seem to have the chops to start and win regularly in NFL games.

I could see Tomlin and the war room drafting a QB high on the list such as a Spencer Rattler of Oklahoma in 2022. This is not Cincinnati or Jacksonville the Rooney’s the city Tomlin won’t be 6 win doormats this position has to get addressed .

LOL it's not just Big Ben, the Steelers are not who they used to be. Similar to the Patriots and why Tom Brady left. Le'Veon Bell and Antonio Brown were a huge part of the Steelers success over the years. You can't just replace that. I'm amazed they started 11-0 last year. Their coaching and culture has to be top of the line.

You make good points that “ it’s not just Big Ben “ but if you have an aged QB all beat up and you “ aren’t what you used to be “ then it’s time to to get a young QB and start down a new path before 8-9 or 7-10 seasons start piling up like Iron City empty beer cans. The Steelers need a new QB and soon.

I believe they have 3 new starters and maybe 2 rookies starting on the OL. Think Steele and Knight starting last year with an immobile QB. My guess is that the Stealers will be drafting around 10-12. Will that be high enough to get a good QB? Who knows?

Big Ben is shot, but will retire in the top 8 all time in TD passes and yards, and being a SB winner so next stop.....Hall of Fame,

Love Tomlin the guy tells it like it really is, he don't mess around.

If your middle of the pack drafting you see someone you think you can groom for next few yrs ( rookie contract duration ) and then see if you want to negotiate a new contract then trade up and grab him . I don’t think 4th round Dakota Prescott’s or 6th round Brady come along too often , may have invest round one .

Well they said Rattler the OU QB was having a rough yr only stacking up stats against Krispy Kreme teams today against K State in conf not a bad team Rattler goes off for 22-25 245 yds 2 TD’s and ran for 24. He gets out of the pocket can extend plays and as last resort can run.

The Steelers can do worst. Another team because the Watson situation is so up in the yr maybe the guy they used a 3rd rounder this yr Mills is the future in Houston but they look like a double digit losses team that just might pull the trigger on QB round one if someone is sitting right there that they like.

He might make the HOF but it will take a while. Being a squealer he probably will get in. Frankly I really do not consider him worthy; he was very good but honestly never considered in the argument with the best in the game.

Jim Taylor
Lenny Moore
John Henry Johnson
Hugh McElhenny
Paul Hornung
Frank Gifford

All are running backs in the Hall of Fame at no time were any of them in competition with Jim Brown as being the best. Not sue where you get this......best in the game. You don't need to be the best in the game and that should be real obvious.

Big Ben's stats and the fact he won a SB are Hall of Fame caliber. Over 60 comp%, twice as many TD/INT over 90 passer rating, multi pro bowls.

won 2 SB's...at most he is a second ballot HOF inductee.

Life's great when the Cowboys are playing well and the Steelers are stinking up the place.

The Rapist also had the worst QB rating of any winning QB in SB history. And as regards some of the names you mentioned, THIS is why you have no respect here. You spout names and numbers but clearly have no real understanding.
Many of those players were mentioned as being among the best at their positions when they played but since google is such a joke you think you know differently.

Dude, what is with the BS? There is no problems with respect here, where did ya get that from? It's pretty obvious here is a long time fan who knows the game. So...???

Jim Brown was always considered to be "Da Man" so don't tell me those I mentioned were in competition with him for that title. Dude, it is never about being the very best at any poisition, you really don't know that?

Saw all of those on that list play so cool the stupid Google BS, ok?

John Unitas was without question the greatest QB of his era, so how did Bart Starr, Fran Tarkenton, YA Tittle, Sonny Jurgenson make the Hall of Fame also from that era.....well?

When was Lynn Swann ever in the best WR talk, yep, never, hell he wasn't even the best WR on the Steelers.

You need to learn football guy.

2x super bowl winner

best qb to ever play in that organization... he's spent at this point, though...

I agree, time to call it a career, a Hall of Fame one.

i accept the reality of that, but I dislike it... there are far too many stealers in the hof as it is

He could take Lynn Swann's place since he doesn't belong.
