Steelers sign ex-Cowboy WR Morgan

Quincy Morgan, released by the Cowboys over the weekend, signed Tuesday with the Pittsburgh Steelers to add depth to their depleted group of wide receivers.
To make room for Morgan, the Steelers released Lee Mays, hours after coach Bill Cowher said he would miss two weeks with a hamstring injury. The Steelers did not say if they had reached an injury settlement with Mays.
Morgan, a five-year veteran from Kansas State, was a second-round pick of Cleveland in 2001 before being traded last October to Dallas for wide receiver Antonio Bryant.
Morgan set career highs in 2002 with 56 receptions, 964 receiving yards (17.2 average) and seven touchdowns. He was let go by Dallas on Saturday, after the Cowboys signed former Atlanta receiver Peerless Price.
Saints prefer Baton Rouge
Saints owner Tom Benson, who drew criticism for his silence concerning where the team should play home games in the wake of Hurricane Katrina, prefers Baton Rouge.
In a statement issued Tuesday, Benson echoed players and coaches who've said they prefer to play in Tiger Stadium on the LSU campus. Benson told t he NFL he would like the Saints to play there "to the extent circumstances allow."
The Saints' home game against the Giants on Sept. 19 has been moved to Giants Stadium in New Jersey. The Giants said New Orleans season ticket holders will have first choice of seats for the game.

Packers: Green Bay signed tight end Donald Lee and released tight end Ben Steele and fullback Nick Luchey. Lee, a third-year player out of Mississippi State, has started 15 of 32 NFL games.
Seahawks: Defensive coordinator Ray Rhodes will not be with Seattle for Sunday's regular season opener at Jacksonville after being hospitalized for dizziness. Rhodes, 54, was sent to a hospital by team doctors on Sunday for a series of tests. The team said he was released from the hospital Tuesday. The Seahawks said doctors have yet to find an explanation for Rhodes' dizziness so he will continue to undergo tests and be monitored during the next few days.
Steelers: Running back Jerome Bettis won't play in Pittsburgh's season opener against Tennessee because of the strained right calf that kept him out of the team's final preseason game. With Bettis and Duce Staley (knee surgery) hurting, coach Bill Cowher said No. 3 running back Willie Parker will make his first career start. Parker, a college backup at North Carolina, ran for 102 yards against Buffalo on Jan. 2 in his only extensive playing time as a rookie.
Ravens: Baltimore cornerback Samari Rolle was fined one game check by the NFL for violating its personal conduct policy. Rolle initially was expected to receive a one-game suspension after accepting a plea bargain from Tennessee prosecutors in April to settle a domestic violence charge involving his wife. He was arrested and charged with domestic assault in February. Rolle agreed to 11 months and 29 days of probation in addition to mandatory anger management sessions and counseling with his wife. His fine amounts to $62,500.
Vikings: Wide receiver Koren Robinson, a troubled underachiever with Seattle, agreed to terms on a two-year contract with Minnesota. Chosen with the ninth overall pick in the 2001 draft by Seattle, the 25-year-old Robinson was released in June after he was charged with drunken driving.
