Stephen feels good about the offseason: It really came together good for us

They did a good job building a staff and getting a team together. It's not a playoff winning team but that isn't their goal.

Well, we knew at some point they would bring up the injury excuse. Never mind that the players we're getting back were part of a team that got drummed out of the playoffs the previous year when they were healthy.

I feel good about some of the things we did this offseason. But we're once again relying on several cheap free agents and trades to work out in our favor as well as hitting on all our draft picks.

So is he speaking as though they're done and there'll be no second trade they were talking about?
I assume the second trade had to do with either a running back (possibly Breece Hall) or a cornerback. When they drafted Blue in the fifth round and Revel in the third, they were less motivated to trade for those positions.

Frankly, I'd like to see us do more at RB than trust in two RBs who averaged less than 4 yards per carry, a couple of third-day rookies and one of Snow White's dwarves. And I don't think we should be set at CB with one injured starter, a rookie who may not be ready at the start of the season and a first-round pick who failed for the team who drafted him. The only sure thing we have there is Bland.

They have done very well this offseason. Lame duck blow it up.

Stephen’s got “cat like speed and reflexes” as a big time “football operations” guy

Dak was the 4th highest earning athlete in the world last year. There’s no way the Jones can justify that. It’s all about denial and delusion with those stupid drunks. Dak is going to be a billionaire and he’s not even a top 10 player at his position.

We'll see. There are a lot of question marks, but that comes with relying on cheap trades and free agents. I'm sure you thought they did well last offseason when they brought in Royce Freeman and the return of Zeke to be our running game or Ronald Jones the previous offseason. There's a long list of failed players that we've brought in for cheap.

The difference in our trades this year is we're betting on upside (Murray, Elam, Pickens, Milton) instead of trading for proven players on their downside (Cooks and Gilmore). That can blow up in your face ... although Pickens does have proven ability so it shouldn't blow up unless he does from a character standpoint.

Last season was lame duck.

Why do you care about how much money Dak makes?
