Was listening to the Day 2 post draft presser. Stephen mentioned early in the press conference that they were looking at at three different positions "and then one went away." It's interesting to note that 4 of the 6 picks that went ahead of us were receivers (Tyquan Thornton, George Pickens, Alec Pierce, and Skyy Moore).

It's interesting to think which of those receivers the Cowboys may have been targeting.

Could have been Pickens but I think it was Pierce. I believe they had a private workout with player. IMO Tolbert as prospect is right there with that group.

Outisde of PIckens, I think Tolbert is just as good if not better a WR prospect than all of those players.

I think Pickens has #1 traits, but have heard there might be severe off the field issues.

Pickens hands are pretty small too. Below 9" I think

i thought that alec pierce kinda reminded me of those type receivers mccarthy went for at green bay.
coulda been him.

Lol, the Cowboys always get their guy.
They were lucky to get Tolbert and Ferguson. The draft worked out well for them. They held their ground and got a receiver and tight end and kept their picks witch gave them Clark and Ridgeway.

Cowboys wanted Thorton. I think round 2 was too rich for them anyway. If I had to guess, it would have been Pickens ahead of Tolbert.

Possibly the TE from Colorado that went right before us?

Can eliminate Moore. Looking at both the receiver we drafted and those we picked up as UDFAs, we're definitely not interested in receivers under 6 feet tall. This has really already been established, but was further confirmed this year.
