At TCU, he was the 5th db in the nickel.
Guys like Kiper and McShay projected him as OLB due to his size and speed, and they say he's a special teams demon.
However, he played SS for TCU.
For comparison, he's smaller than Roy (31), so I wouldn't say he's going to be a LB. If he makes the team, I think he'll be an in the box SS and special teams guy...apparently he does have some cover skills to at least help with RBs and TEs.
We have plenty of other guys to bring in in passing situations...it's all about packages and schemes, and to me it looks like we got players who have been highly successful...this guy was also an all conference player...they are used to being successful and they know how to work.
Every rookie that makes the team and pushes someone else out makes us a better and newer team with more edge, imo.
