Stephen: I don't think we're done along the front seven

Looking for anything to be hopeful for I noticed Stephen at least acknowledges in this interview that they need to do more up front on defense after re-signing Osa.

Of course he could just be talking about the draft but I'm desperate here. I'll settle for the fact he at least sees the need.

For a moment I almost believed that he has a clue.

It's a flat-out fact our front office is just not sharp enough to compete in today's NFL.

You have to be able to have a front office that can hit on some later round picks Make sure that your top picks are home runs.
And be able to fill the right spots with free agents.
They're really are not many quality free agent defensive tackles available this league is talent starved in that position.

We don't have enough draft picks to fill all the holes and even be competitive in our division.

We have sat on our hands and made too many mistakes there are no Jaylon Carter's or Jordan Davis's in our future

Front office needs to make fixing the front 7 the priority this offseason. OSA alone doesn’t improve anything.
And the following season, along with the O-Line. We’re several years out. We should be the top 5 in the draft at least one of the next 3 years. Gotta make a move to get the most important position on the field. I like a couple guys this year in rounds 2-3 round.

There are basically no NFL FA DT worth a flip. Check out spotrac if you don believe me.

Draft is deep in DT compared to the last 5 years.
BJ Hill would be a nice pickup, still under 30… not sure they’d be interested in the 9m a year
average sportrac is predicting for someone they’re hoping would be Mazi’s backup!

Oh yes…he’s salivating at UFL players who don’t get playing time there

I bet he’s asking teams “who you got that you about to cut? I want him”

The draft is chock full of DT prospects good ones can be had in rounds 1-2 and possibly 3rd as with RB although I wouldn’t go past second with that position.

That doesn’t keep the cowboys from bargain bin shopping for depth . OSA is a good player but I have little faith in anyone else

If they can bring back gholston and Williams should be back. Not sure what they are gonna do with DLaw pay or replace

I don’t want to pay him but they may be forced to

If Mazi can build on the last few games ( not real impressive but better then early on) maybe draft a Harmon I think that’s the guy out of Oregon or another solid DT early then who knows

There’s nowhere to go but up we sucked pretty bad

Which means we'll go RB/CB/WR(sub injured LB for any of the 3)
