On @1053thefan, Stephen Jones says the #Cowboys have reached out to pretty much the whole staff. The goal is to keep the staff together.
There's a 3-day window where they have exclusive negotiating rights.
the Rod Marinelli @ProFootballTalk border on the lines of tampering, so he doubts their veracity.
No matter how hard you coach people, instincts do come out. Dez really felt he was making football moves.
It's such a fine line. The league and the competition committee wants to get the #Overturn right.
No one has ever been able to be easy with the Megatron 2010 catch not being a catch. It's never easy.
You have to look at each and every rule with the lens that it could decide an elimination game.
the #Cowboys #1 priority to is get the staff in place. They're not dealing with players right now.
the #Cowboys really like the foundation of the team. It's a young team. They want to win a Super Bowl.
the #Cowboys coaches' wishes are to coach in the Pro Bowl. But there's work to be done first #extensions
#Cowboys fully expect Rod Marinelli to return. It would be disappointing if he didn't.
it's too early to talk about players (R. McClain). McClain did a great job this year.
he gives Rod Marinelli and the defense credit. A lot of people (@RossTuckerNFL) called it worst D in NFL.
a pass rusher is "absolutely" a priority in the off-season.
he didn't have an issue with #Romo going deep to Dez 1-on-1 on 4th-&-2 on the #Overturn.
he trusts #Romo & @DezBryant. They're both great players and trust them completely.
he gives Rod Marinelli and the defense credit. A lot of people (@RossTuckerNFL) called it worst D in NFL.
the way DeMarcus Lawrence and Tyrone Crawford's years ended boded well for them.
the #Cowboys are chipping away at that defensive line the way they chipped away at that offensive line.
Garrett is the #1 priority. "I'm working on him all day today."
everything falls from there once they get Coach Garrett signed to an extension.

Stephen Jones expects the league to review Calvin Johnson rule again in the off season because of the Dez Bryant play
One note on the overturned catch. Ruled a catch on the field. So there needed to be indisputable evidence that Dez didnt make football move
From the Cowboys point of view, the replay officials, Dean Blandino should have been looking for evidence that he didnt rather than he did
There shouldnt have been any talk off dez not extending enough or making enough of a move.
If Bryant made an kind of football move at all then it wasnt indisputable evidence that he didn't so the play shouldnt have been overturned.

My point exactly about the overturn. Unless indisputable you stick with the call on the field.

The NFL violated their own replay rules with the overturn. No one on Green Bay's side would have argued with sticking with the catch ruling if a football move was called as stood.

I hope the coaching staff stays. They did a solid job this past season.

Finish the Oline and continue to build the Dline.

Need to get this done, get the coaching staff in order, keep them together.
Then the players next.
This will go a long way and can make a difference of the players and the priorities
Some may stay / sign a decent deal to stay just because of this. Or we can think it would anyway.

Keep the continuity which means a lot.

I for never liked Garrett as OC. I certainly did not like him as interim head coach and till this day giving him playcalling duties would be a disaster of epic proportion.

But I can see for once he brings great qualities as a walk around head coach. He inspires this team to work hard and to come together like they did this year.

Signing Garrett is a must. He should be runner up to the coach of the year and I hope that they retain him for a long time here in Dallas.

I hope Stephen is not just worried about the D-line because he needs major work on the back end as well. Barry Church and JJ Wilcox have to be upgraded. They have to finally invest in a true free safety this offseason.

good to hear pass rusher is the priority in the offseason,i really expect either Hardy or JPP to be in play, the 2nd tier guys like Mcphee are ok but we need a dominant guy.

Bad year to need a safety from the draft. Pass rush is #1 priority, I think that would help the secondary quite a bit.

Exactly. No one on the Green Bay side would have argued that wasn't a catch. In fact, they all thought it was. McCarthy just decided to dispute it because he could and it looked like Dez bobbled the ball but he didn't.

I'm curious to know why they overturned it and what evidence shows that WAS NOT a catch.
