Why can't it wait until the end of the season? Could they get a better value now? I'm not sure how that works.

DAL can prorate the signing bonus this year and next year instead of waiting to sign him in 2018...they will have eaten 40% of the bonus by 2018 and will make it easier to treat his contract like a salary cap ATM like they do with TSmith

they can also lower his cap hit of 8.8m next year by a few million...there is little risk with a guy like TFred besides injury but that is always the case and they can get insurance against that

Don't care about the cooking the books number. I just know I would move on from Dez Bryant if the circumstances dictated that kind of choice.

Dez has too much guaranteed money and gets too many TDs and yards to cut......it is foolish to wish for such things.....there is plenty of money for the bigs....you know how much I love TDs
