Stephen Jones - Mingo, Tolbert & Flournoy all have the potential to be a WR2

He should keep doing it. There’s nothing wrong with the approach. The Mingo deal just seemed extreme a 4th seemed too high.

Really ? You dumped two 4th rounders for nothing in return yet . Plenty of things wrong with that like today instead of a pick round 4 we have Mel Kiper venting on the Shadeur “ crisis “

I heard them talking about our WR corp on the draft show last night. More than once it was said how much the Cowboys really like Mingo. And at this point there aren't any WR's left in the draft that are better than what they have. I'd try to sign Keenan Allen and call it a day.

Don’t over look Mingo.

His bio is excellent. A 2nd round pick from 23.

Let’s give him a chance at WR2.

Is Amari retiring? He rarely played with the Bills and now is still unsigned. Don’t think he’s the culture guy Schotty wants but purely on the field I’d rather have him than Keenan

The chances any are a good wr2 is slim. Mingo sucks, Tolbert is a jag, flourboy is fighting to be a jag. They needed someone with the potential to be a #1, to really threaten defenses. Ain't no defense scared of these stooges.

Jerry also said last night that Mingo ran a 4.3.

News flash, Jerry is a football moron.

I'm waiting for someone in the media to ask why Mingo was beaten out by an undrafted nobody at Carolina. Of course, that will never happen.

they BARELY used Flournoy and we are supposed to believe he will become a WR 2 this season?

Defending Jerry.

After this draft?

I’m convinced you either just can’t bring yourself to say this team is doomed or you are trolling.
I see nothing wrong with the players they took. What’s the issue? All I ask for is give me 2 or 3 starters with those first 3 picks. I may not like the positions but they brought in 3 guys who all had first round grades on a lot of mocks.

I have potential to be #2....what are their chances? like 2%.....

seriously. he is freaking piece of his old dad with all his BS comments. except his stuff is even more stupid.
Well I’ll say this…..when it came to this draft I said if they can’t get anyone like Egbuka or Tet or Golden then don’t bother. I wouldn’t even waste a pick on receiver. Because that guy we already have. The first round was the place to take a receiver.

You have to make your team better. Yes they fell through. But kicking the tires on a Trey Lance who had potential wasn’t a bad move. You spent a 4th on a guy the 49ers spent 3 1st rounders on. And my belief is they failed Lance. I don’t think he’s good but he should’ve been getting they playing time Rush got.

But if you read the entire interview he said they're not ready now they haven't stepped up now and something's probably gonna have to happen meaning they're thinking of a trade for a wide receiver or pick one up in free agency like a Mari Cooper or King and Allen there are things in play and for running back as well he literally admitted that none of them have stepped up to a point where you can count on them to be the number 2 Some of you guys should really read and listen to the tone they're saying they're not comfortable with what we have for wide receiver two and it will be addressed...

He got beat out by Coker and Legette. I can’t find much on Mingo on why they traded him so soon. Apparently he lacked concentration.

I like the pick up but his lack of separation leads me to believe he won’t be much here. But hopefully he has a nice camp.

I'm not hopeful at all. Realistically, a team that desperately needed WRs moved on from him pretty quickly.

But I will say one positive thing for him. He was getting open and Rush couldn't get him the ball. Now, we don't know if that poor connection was a result of Mingo being bad at locating the ball, or Rush having the arm strength of an elderly woman, but he was definitely open a few times there.

I was reading that Mingo is good at the curl and other routes in tight space that apparently we are going to run a lot. So maybe this system will be a better fit for his abilities.

Maybe I’m in the total wilderness on this one but from my way of thinking Jamal Brooks is undersold . Rush consistently found a way to get him the ball in chunk yardage plays . Flournoy needs targets then you have Tolbert who with 7 TD receptions last year should hit double figures now and then you have Mr Speed # 9 .

RB is more of the need Sat
None of those guys can take the top off a defense.

Tolbert makes for a solid #3 WR; the other two guys I’ll be stunned if either proves to be that.
