YIKES!!I broke even on mine, and was happy about it. Never regretted it for a second. It was like winning the lotto. A guy in Seattle bought them. Or that was where I had to send the tickets to. When they had paper tickets. In 2016. As he wanted to buy them also, at face value, and the parking.
My 2 seats were $32,000 total.
Cowboys EVP Stephen Jones when asked on @1053thefan about a large number of Saints fans attending last Sunday’s game at AT&T Stadium and a similar expectation this Sunday with Ravens fans:
“Well, it happens. You don’t love it but I also understand people don’t get here very often. We haven’t played the Saints here a lot in this building. Of course, it’s an easy ride for a lot of Saints fans that are right across the way in Louisiana, so we know on occasion that’s going to happen. Obviously we prefer to have everybody sitting in that (stadium) a Cowboys fan.
“We’re certainly the beneficiary of that on the road most of the time, in terms of having large percentages of Cowboys fans in opposing teams’ stadiums. Understand it. Every now and then you’re going to have these teams that haven’t been to AT&T Stadium much and want to experience North Texas and what AT&T Stadium is about. If we had our preference, honestly, no, I’d like 100% of them to be Cowboys fans, but also know that can be unrealistic.”
His TEDtalk on String Theory was profound and awe inspiring.Has anyone ever listened to a Stephen Jones interview and came out on the other side thinking "Wow, that was insightful, I really learned something" ?
The really crazy part is how many of those people are their own fans these days. There are far more people that want to pay to watch Dallas be the accident waiting to happen than there are Cowboys fans. It has almost taken on a pro wrestling quality. The Cowboys are the heel nearly everyone wants to see get beat.
The Rams ownership controlled it at their house against the 9ers when the players whined about having to go to a silent count in their own house earlier in the year. The teams can't control, nor the fans, that sell them on the secondary market, and who buys them.
You can't say ... only a Cowboys fan (or whatever team) can buy them... I would not doubt if some people buy tickets, then themselves turn around and try to make a profit from them.
I can't see as many Ravens fans taking over the stadium as the Saints fans did. Saints closer proximity to make that drive. And many transplants are here as well.
3 friends of mine are Saints fans.
