Stephen Jones says Christine Michael has experience with winning teams and he's a physical back that can complement the team
the #Cowboys have yet to make a decision on who the starting RB will be against the #Giants.
he foresees all the RB's contributing to the #Cowboys running game. There probably won't be a bell cow.
he believes the #Cowboys can lean on their running game, even though the philosophy and personnel changed
the #Cowboys traded for Christine Michael to make sure they had options, not because they don't like anybody.
he has no idea on Greg Hardy's appeal. Their idea is he won't be there for four games.

chuckles when @rjchoppy asks why it seems like the NFL takes too long to hand out punishments.
nobody feels sorry for Roger Goodell with the tough decisions that he makes. Owners all respect him.
catching heat as commissioner comes with the territory, but he knows that Goodell is trying to get it right.
nobody wants to go through all the things the league and union have been going through.
he has so much to worry about with the #Cowboys that he doesn't have time to speculate on the #Patriots.
his family respects the Kraft family and the #Patriots.

the most common question he gets from fans is about the running game.
the running game questions won't be resolved until the first game against the #Giants.
fans also like to talk to him about the defensive line and how it will help them take the first step.
he doesn't get yelled at for personnel moves out in public. But he hears them when he listens to the radio.

On 105.3 The Fan: Stephen Jones said the Cowboys will have the same type of running game as they did last year if not better.

I just missed out drafting him in my fantasy league. :(

I can't thank you enough for taking the time to recap these things for the rest of us. It's selfless acts like this that make places like this as great as they are, fans sharing information with other fans.

Again, much appreciated.

lmao I thought the same thing we have a RB who breaks a team historical record and he goes and says we will be better then last year. Back away from the secret sauce SJ your doing a great job no need to have delusions of grandeur

Yeah it's impossible that we could be better, you should never strive to be better. And being better doesn't necessarily mean having more yards.

I don't think Michael gets any snaps, or meaningful snaps for a while. Just keep yourself high on the waiver wire priority and you can snatch him up if he does.

He's already on someone else's team in my fantasy league.

There were only 2 other teams that had better rushing attacks. Would it be so bad to have 3 running backs totaling 1800+ yards.

That's crazy...and would be even crazier if your draft happened before Michael was traded. Some people play FF level-headed, some just pick all the players on their favorite team, others the top names (some knob drafted Reggie Wayne in my league..and in the first 5-6 rounds.....) and then you have the crazies that take a defense in the first 3 rounds.

But not to go off-topic (too late?), but outside of not retaining Murray (good or bad), Stephen/FO have had probably the best offseason of any team this year. Unlike years past, where it seemed they waited until the wobbly wheels finally fell off before they addressed it, their approach has turned to proactive. Proactive not only in acquiring/dumping players but playing hardball with the cap.

Thanks for posting WG.

Hopefully Dallas stays committed to the run like they did a season ago. As jrumann59 said, I'd be just fine with 3 RB's totaling Murray's production from a year ago.

I have Micheal in 3 of 4 of my leagues....lol

Just missed having him in all 4.

It is a potential big reward chance.

But did you take him before or after the Cowboy's traded for him is my question? I'll take my answer off the air as I don't want to steer away the good work of Woodysgirl.

Seacrest--OUT

My draft was last night, so his fate was already known.
I had to get my one Cowboy fixation. I thought I was going to get Romo late in third, but someone snagged him three picks before mine. :(
I wasn't too keen on Randle or McFadden because I think C. Mike will be getting the bulk of the carries later in the year. Dez, of course, was picked in the first round (I went Adrian Peterson, who should have been a Cowboy, wink, wink.) So I picked up Cole Beasley late in the draft after I missed out on C. Mike.

So if our three RBs combine for more yards than Murray and Randle did last year, you wouldn't call that better because one back didn't break a record? I think they have a great shot to get more yards on the ground this year because none of the three are going to be ridden into the ground like Murray was last year.

How many people would have bet in preseason last year that Murray was going to stay healthy the entire season, much less tear it up like he did?

I say, wait and see. The running game will be different than it was with Murray, but I don't think that means it can't be just as effective. Randle, Michael and McFadden are the same question marks now that Murray was last year at this time.
