On @1053thefan, Stephen Jones says everybody in the NFL gets shorthanded. It's no excuse in getting the job done.
Jones says sometimes you can get so focused on a good player like Dez Bryant that you overdo it in analysis.
Jason Witten, Terrance Williams, Gavin Escobar, James Hanna, and Lance Dunbar can get the job done.
the defense is no different than it was from 2014 other than the secondary is actually deeper.
Ron Leary playing is "a long shot."
t won't surprise him to see the #Eagles line up Fletcher Cox right over the left guard, whoever it is.
the #Cowboys are leaning towards not having Dez Bryant travel with the team to Philadelphia. #Rehab
it's difficult for any TE in the #Cowboys scheme to get touches when playing behind Jason Witten.
Dez Bryant leads the pack with pregame energy. So, it's no big deal he had to get an IV in Week 1.
Sean Lee really excited him Sunday night against the #Giants. His performance was "impressive."
Tyrone Crawford also stepped up against the #Giants. Randy Gregory was huge too.
DeMarcus Lawrence had really nice rushes for the #Cowboys last week.
the #Cowboys are taking a "wait and see" approach with Christine Michael as of now.
over the course of the season, everyone is going to get a chance to run the ball for the #Cowboys.
the pace the #Eagles move at is hard to replicate in practice.

Stephen Jones on @BenandSkin said Ron Leary is a longshot to play Sunday. Mackenzy Bernadeau and La'el Collins will both see playing time
Stephen Jones: It's a wait-and-see type deal with Christine Michael. He's "going to get his chance, and when he does I think he'll do well."
Stephen Jones: Cowboys won't be surprised if Eagles line Fletcher Cox over top of La'el or Bernadeau. "It'll be a challenging experience."

"Stephen Jones says everybody in the NFL gets shorthanded. It's no excuse in getting the job done."

I mean, this is true and all. But I would say that missing Dez Bryant, Orlando Scandrick, Ron Leary, Greg Hardy, Randy Gregory and Rolando McClain is a little more than shorthanded. That's about 25% of our starters on offense and defense, including some of our biggest, most explosive, most important players.

I think this team can and will still win. We have talent and it's in this team's DNA. But we are a little more than shorthanded right now.

Well we were already missing Hardy, McClain, Oscan and Gregory has only played 1 game. I think sometimes people get caught up in name recognition. The game still has to be played and as long as Romo is out there he can make things happen.

He should do what Murray does before the games. Drink something like 10 gallons of water

no. no, he really didn't

Yes, yes he really did. There were several times Eli could smell Lawrence's breath.

Eli was getting rid of the ball in 2 seconds. If he had held it for the more common time of 3 seconds, then Lawrence would have had multiple sacks.

Eli making quick throws really limits the Giants offense. It helps the Cowboys CBs because they only have to cover for 2 seconds. Eli would not make quick throws if they were not concerned about the pass rush.

It's actually not true. It's coach speak nonsense. There are different degrees of shorthanded. If this team were to lose Romo, that would be a legitimate excuse of not getting the job done. Because if sucking was a martial art, Brandon Weeden would be a 3rd degree black belt.

Now you know only the stat line counts
Pressures mean nothing
If a player doesn't have any sacks then he had to have had a bad game

The weird thing in the interview was that he sounded almost excited to see what they can do without Dez.

Seems like he should be pissed that the guys we have signed this offseason to big bucks are dropping like flies! Of course you never can feel sorry for a man that owns a plane and the successor to a 4 billion dollar business!

If we can win now we'll be unstoppable when we get back to full strength.

This is ********. This is not coachspeak. This is calling being confident in your roster to know that missing a few players isn't going to stop you from winning a game. That';s what the good teams in this league do. The bad teams let it bother them to the point of making excuses, the good ones don't change their gameplan and move on. This is not coachspeak. You don't even know what coach speak is. Just some word you heard on ESPN and are running with it.

I agree. Getting dehydrated comes from the day before, not the day of. Maybe he should get an IV on Saturday if that's the case.

True and not true. But mostly true. But, Explain the cramping on game days, which is from dehydration as well.

That's what I saw, Lawrence played good. Giants played scared
