Stephen Jones says we may already have wide receivers for the 2 spot

2025 is another rebuilding year. There is zero urgency being shown by the front office to win this year.

We can't rebuild anything with the highest paid QB and soon to be highest paid defensive player in the league. We are just adding to the talent base the same way the other 31 teams do via the draft.

There isn't much cap wiggle room if they hope to extend Parsons and Tyler Smith.

This is why I hate this FO. Do nothing in FA— then oversell every pick they make in the draft. Undersell every need on the roster and over-hype every player’s ceiling and act like it’s “all just going to come together.”

In short— they gaslight the hell out of us every year. It’s maddening.

"first-round grades left on their board"

That's not what the Jones clan said last night.
They reshuffle the board to fit the players left, they always have higher grades for the players they draft. Jerry will show you the board just to prove it

He is. It's lying season
He obviously could be.

But we've been burned by this so so so many times. They miss out on a key position early in the draft and then pretend they didn't need it all along. And then it turns out to be reality, when they do nothing to address that position, to justify their pretending.

I wish I could call Stephen’s personal phone

And I wouldn’t even say anything, just put the phone next to my butt and fart

Man just kills any passion I have…I may dislike him more than I did Garrett

Dear Stephen, I don't think anyone is arguing with you. You're right. We do already have a #2 WR on our roster. What we ARE arguing about is the fact that he STINKS. We need a much better #2 WR. Get it ? Cap Boy ?

I don't see it. Jalen Tolbert did have 7 TD's last year but he is just so inconsistent. Jonathan Mingo now gets a full offseason and camp in the offense and the Cowboys did have a 2nd round grade on him coming out, but he struggles to separate.

I don't think Luther Burden falls to 44 but if he does, he needs to be the pick.
I don't think we saw enough of Mingo last year but it seemed like every time Rush threw him the ball it was off target. Perhaps that was a lack of playing together. So maybe you're right. Working with Mingo more may bring some improvement in 2025.

They must think players don’t age.

This is why signing Dak was a mistake. They think they bought themselves more years not realizing these guys get older.
