I will miss Jerry in one aspect...

Jerry is the verbal equivalent to Tony Romo...you just never know what you are going to get...will he throw a laser 30 yard back shoulder pass to Dez...maybe make you laugh...or will he go completely off the rails and pull the equivalent of five interceptions in one meandering indecipherable sentence.

Stephen is more like Dak...ball control. Effective though perhaps a bit less entertaining.

Yeah, but I'm getting tired of all the "hot hand" talk. Players that are hot, eventually cool off and revert to their true form. You can't be "hot" this long. You can be hot for a series or even a game or two. But not for an entire season. Dak has been playing at a high level since game 1 of the preseason. At some point we have to stop the "hot" talk, and just acknowledge that this is who Dak is. When Brady is playing dominant ball, no one says he has a hot hand. They just say, "That's Brady being Brady."

nick foles was hot for an entire season...so was RG3. Its called the freshman advantage.

Which further illustrates the problem some of us have with that term. It's too temporary, it is reflective of your aforementioned players.

Dak is not Foles or RG ******* 3, it's a slight and undermines what he's doing. It almost insinuates a "cooling off period" in the future,

Lets use the business world analogy...there are those that have a college degree, and there are those that have 20 years in the industry.

The college degree might interview well...but its a HUGE unknown, because there is no body of work. Versus the 20 years you know the body of work. We know Tony is a top 5 QB. He's got 14 years of showing it.

We dont know jack about Dak over a 10 year span.

Don't see where staying with Dak was such a hard decision to make based on his and the teams play. Would have been an easy decision for me based on his play and the amount of time Romo has missed. I think that comment was something Stephen felt was the right thing to say.

It absolutely was a hard decision I can't see how you can even make an argument that it wasn't. Dak was a rookie playing well meanwhile you had a 4 time probowler ready to come back. Its not like you were choosing between a good rookie and Trent Dilfer

Doing what you know is right isn't always easy, even if it's easy to know what's right.

RG3 isnt known for preparation I dont know about Foles.
If you still aren't convince thats on you
Nick Foles threw for 27 TDs and 2 Ints and hasn't been close to that since. So maybe we really do keep Tony and if Dak shows it's a fluky season then we go another round of Tony.
