Stephen Jones: We are in position not to reach for a RB or any player

Sound just like Booger daddy. "I have this secret weapon up my sleeve that no one will ever believe."

I can't stand listening to Stephen but the Cowboys have actually done a nice job masking their draft intentions this year. There was almost no buzz at all about them going offensive line until hours before the pick this year (and even then the media got it wrong thinking Grey Zabel).

So I don't think too much about this. Tyler Booker was clearly a Schotty/Klayton Adams pick. If the staff wants a RB at 44 or 76 tonight I think they are taking one.
Exactly. If they came out and said, yes we are taking a RB at 44 then teams would just jump them.

They signed 3 OL in free agency and like you said, nobody was really thinking OL at 12

Yikes...what a group of idiots. I should have known better to think they would grab a RB in class like this.

FREAKING morons....I swear my 11 yr old can run a better Franchise than these clowns.

That's what I was thinking. The Cowboys aren't going to show their hand and say they want a RB at 44 or 76. There are a ton of good backs in this class and they can even wait until the third round and get either a power guy like Skattebo or a speed guy like Dylan Sampson or Byshal Tuten.
Will you come back here and reply to this thread once they fail to address this need? Jr nor Sr are not smart enough to play Draft Day Poker, so don't be let down when he sticks to his words...they will wait, wait, wait, wait. The excuse train will then pull into town

We don't really feel like we have to pick a position anywhere. We don't feel the need to have to reach.

Nothing wrong with basically saying...we are not going to reach for a need.
They did not bring in a number of RBs for dallas day and 30 visits and did not meet with a number of RBs at the combine or pro days because they dont want to draft a rb.
Yeah at #12 but don't make it seem like we're not getting one period with 10 picks lol

He didn’t say that we don’t want to draft a RB, he said he like what we did in FA, plus they’re working a trade probably Breece Hall

I've been proven wrong so many times here, but I still have hope. This is a very deep RB class but without a 4th round pick they can't afford to not take one at 44 or 76.

i hope you are wrong. i can hope, right? lol

Why give up assets for Breece Hall, who needs a new contract next season, when they can just draft their own RB and have him for the next four years on his rookie deal?

10000% agree and they can't afford not to, but I have read this book far too many times and know better....they have no killer instinct and let the draft fall to them. This tactic is likely to once again prove lethal. Henderson is likely going to be gone, and the longer they debate what to do....well you know.

I think he is being coy. They did technically fill most of the holes before the draft. They don't need to "reach" for any player but they have a plethora of spots they do need to get better, rb is one of them.
