I just watched his interview on dallascowboys.com

The kid is saying all the right things, and is thinking the right way. Says its an honor to be a Cowboy. I'm hoping for the best come Sunday.

Kitna really likes him.

I was impressed with him the other night. Now its an entirely different thing going to Philly and playing them when they may have a playoff seeding on the line, but I think he's going to fare pretty decent. If he gets decent protection he can make some plays against them.

It would be huge if we could have some success running this week.

I'm not expecting much. 3rd stringer against the best team in the NFC? Yikes.

Eagles are gonna blitz him all day and the WRs are gonna cause about 3 INTs due to drops. Book it!

Thats exactly it. If he is forced to pass all day it is going to get ugly.

If McGee has to start, I won't be expecting much. Not that I'm expecting a whole lot as is. Still, I'd give just about anything to beat those *****s this weekend.

They are the best? Not sure about that... they barely beat a crappy Cowboy team a couple of weeks ago...

I'd take NO or ATL easily... and maybe Chicago...

I agree the Eagles are going to try to stop the run first and foremost and probably blitz the heck out of us in passing situations. If our defense can step up, actually get some stops(seems like a lot to ask I know), and keep the game close I think McGee can manage the game well so long as we don't get stuck in too many 3rd and long situations. A huge factor will be what happens in that Chi/GB game to determine what if anything Philly has to play for. If they have nothing really to play for then they might rest some players early and hold off on showing some formations and plays on both sides of the ball.

Not gonna happen because he isnt going to throw it to WRs. I went to A&M and saw McGee from the Texas game his Freshmen year to Junior Year (He got hurt his Senior) and all he does is checkdown. Its rare that he throws an INT or past 10 yards for that matter. Granted the offense the team ran was an option offense, he never threw it past 10 yards. 3rd and 15, 5 yard throw. 3rd and 8, throw to the flat. He looked the same in all his preseason play so that throw to Miles shocked the heck out of me. He has an arm and a pretty damn good one at that, but hes got to trust it (and use it). Looking forward to see what he can do.

The Hurd TD in preseason was a thing of beauty. I think he can make any throw, now whether he has confidence to make that throw is yet to be seen. I think he plays it safe way to often, which is just fine for a young QB.

Your right.

Beat team in the NFL.
That's New England until another team can stop their momentum. I sincerely doubt the team which can pull that off is Philadelphia.

I thought he looked pretty solid all pre-season and was impressed with how much better he got in 1 offseason.

He came in the other night and played smart football.

It would be a big feather in his cap if in his 1st strart he helped take down the eagles on the road.
