Stephen on Diggs - We expect leadership and we expect him to be here

Hopefully Stephen learns the lesson that giving out a big contract doesn't make a guy a leader. Hopefully he learned that the guy you gave the big contract to is going to be the same guy after the contract as he was before the contract.

You'd think he'd have learned that in his 30+ years of experience, but maybe this time is the charm.

Someone on X pointed out that Diggs is ahead of schedule with his rehab and could return for game 1. In the meantime, Revell and Butler are rehabbing in Dallas and are not as close to returning as Diggs.

Some folks are saying Dallas has the worst training staff in the NFL. I am inclined to believe this. Look at Neville Gallimore's hyperextended elbow from a few years ago. Gallimore reportedly had no bone of ligament damage and was project to be out 6-8 weeks. He was out 13 weeks. That never seemed right to me. A hyperextension with no structural damage seems more like a few weeks, not 3 months.

If Diggs comes back from his injury ahead of schedule, how can we fault him for the process he followed? If he returns early then he must have worked hard to get back, no?

In any case, the war of words with Diggs, mostly coming from Stephen and Jerry is not constructive. Talk to the player directly and move on. This resentment by the Joneses seems childish.

Stephen you think he would rehab better here but we know he would just be pushed to get on the field faster here vs where their only concern is his health. Also look at the number of lower leg injuries your club is sustaining and tell me again how he's better in your care. Diggs and any player who can afford their own doctors and afford the financial hit should absolutely rehab with whom they feel most comfortable.
