Stephen thinks Prescott is one of the best QB's

I was reading an article in local newspaper this morning on Cowboys are among NFL teams looking to end title drought.

The nut of the story was do any of these teams have a QB which can take them there.

Stephen was very outspoken. Even saying a great QB is how you win in this league. And said if Prescott isn’t the best, he’s one of the best and ultimate leader.

And have to continue trying to put the pieces around him adding I know our fans aren’t going to believe until we get the job done.

Of course we don’t believe. Few Cowboy fans believe Prescott is the best or one of the best QB’s in the league. Is he enough to build around, maybe .Doubtful at this point. But who believes our FO and coaching staff can get that done.
I dont think that Stephen "thinks".

Not the way we all think. Not like the definition of thinking is.

He does something. But whatever it is up there. Thinking is something else.

But i do think he thinks that he thinks. Just like flat earthers think that the earth is flat.

One or the other just a waist of time to think about it.

I don’t like the Joneses and I no longer support Dak. In this case, what is Stephen supposed to say? That our quarterback is bad during the playoffs? We need to look at replacing our starting quarterback that we just re-signed? Our QB has already hit his ceiling so just get used to it? The Jones know they will not win a Super Bowl this decade. With that being acknowledged, their focus is on making as much money as possible.
They have placed themselves in a corner claiming Prescott is one of the best and he continues coming up short.

Stephen at least states that he believes a great QB is needed to be a SB contender. We just need to find one . Until then they need to adjust accordingly and build a great team around him.

They only say he's "one of the best" IF he's not "THE best"... which means in their heads, being THE best QB in the league (better than Mahomes, better than Josh Allen, better than Burrow, better than (insert name of 15 QBs that are also better than him) is actually a statement that could be real.

The people in charge of EVERYTHING... every decision...every every thing....looks at Dak Friggin Prescot, and thinks..."DUUUHHHHHHHH I THINK HE COULD BE BETTER THAN MAHOMES"

if you wanna know why we suck....there's your answer.

When you have what COULD be the best QB in the league....don't need to put an All star team on the field, just need to keep extending the QB for longer and longer, and make him the highest paid player in the league!!!!!
If that’s the case then it’s a major flaw in their assessment and evaluation process.

It’s one thing to admit you have a good enough QB to build around which would receive more support but to claim he’s one of the best is a major flaw.

Plus it continues to place more pressure on our QB to carry a lesser team further. Not what I’d describe as setting him up for success.

Qak is at his best when he has a solid running game to lean on.

If we can clone Barkley, the Oline, and the Dline Philly has, we can win with him.
We’d still lose with the scrub.. Dak has had plenty of help. Dak didn’t play with Desai and Johnson as coordinators 1 year.

Jalen Hurts has actually improved and you guys forget, he’s in year 5 on his second contract, He was one of, if not the best player on the field in the SB they lost that day.

He’s done enough that he gets benefit of the doubt.

If Dak accomplished what Hurts did in year 5, he’d also get benefit of the doubt. But he’s in year 10 now of baby sitting and making the offense dumber and dumber…

Who, Dak or Stephen?
Actually was not implying anything.

Just saying with his record of injuries ever since he broke his ankle has not been good.
But yet we keep hearing how great he is. How do we really know, if he is in the whirlpool half the season.

Same goes for DLaw. They tell us how great he is, but he too spends more than half his time on IR.

Yet they give Dak another huge contract, and talk like they want to keep DLaw.
You're getting wayyyyy better.
I like this side of you.
Criticism is okay.
When it is warranted it is very appropriate.
Many other players, front office and coaches are subject to legitimate criticism based off poor performance.

I share your opinion on both Dak and DFlaw.

Didn't Hurts just beat Mahomes in the Super Bowl? The way to win in this league is to have a stacked roster, like the Eagles.
But you also need a QB who won't choke, especially in the first two quarters. Hurts might not be a great QB, but he didn't choke through the playoffs like a certain number 4.

Whats he supposed to say? We made a top 20 qb that we have no chance of making the nfccg game with the highest paid in the nfl. We messed up big time!?

It's statements like this that show why things have been as they have for basically the last 30 years

His moniker is also @luvsmesumQB on Flat Earth Roasters site (believers in the earth is flat theory)

Go Cowboys!

Wait until his next season ending injury or an injury causes him to mss significant time.
Then what will they say. Excuses that we never seen how great he really was, because of those injuries.

They are always trying to spin something over on the fans. Well, maybe not always. But when it comes to team building, and FA (or lack of it) they are spinning it to the fans.
Are you hoping he gets hurt, to prove many of you right? Or, are you hoping he stays healthy, returns to what he has been, with a few extra pieces and proves the FO right?
