Stephen thinks Prescott is one of the best QB's

Welcome to the off season.
Run Rich, Run! Hoodie time!

Filing holes is catch up.

The team will have to make some big moves to rebound from their 2024 season, especially now that they have chosen to promote Brian Schottenheimer to be the new head coach. Schottenheimer will work with Jerry Jones to address big roster holes and make tough decisions on which players will be traded for draft capital and more.

I loathe both Jerry and Sonny Boy, but what is he supposed to say?
Jerry is paying Dak like he’s the best QB in the NFL. Now the team’s success or failure falls directly on his shoulders.
He’s certainly not going to come out and say they F’d up paying Dak.
I think the bigger point is he doesn’t have to say anything as such.

What other purpose does making a statement except to try and prop up their actions and shoot down criticism. Just suk it up and move on. Let them think and say what they want.

A little from column A, a little from Column B. It was a different kind of choke than what Dak does though. At least Mahomes did enough in the playoffs to even get to the big game.
I don’t think there was any doubt the Egirls defense never gave Mahomey much of a chance. Similar to how Tampa shook him down a few years ago in SB.

It’s a proven method to shut down great QB’s. Relentless pressure , disruption and causing havoc. Jints did it to Brady in a couple Super Bowls as well.

When it came time to re-sign Dak, they overpaid him horrendously.

After that, they covered it up by claiming he's an elite quarterback.

After setting their overstated claim, the die was cast from then on.
I wouldn’t say they covered it up. I’d describe it as media hype to prop up their actions.

And I also believe they believe he is Elite or one of the best QB’s in the league. It’s unfortunate they have over evaluated.

The accolades are really over blown as well. Geno Smith has the same number of 1st place MVP votes and just 1 less pro bowl on his resume.
Right. And you don’t hear their ownership claiming he’s the best or one of the best QB’s in the league.

Thats where our guys miss the boat. There’s no need to make such public statements except attempting to hype your brand and prop up your actions.

I'm waiting on my authentic Retroworks - Secret Decoder Ring / Secret Window Cipher. Once I get it I will be able to decode his messages. I'll post what they mean when it arrives.
You are going to need more than a ring to understand what he says. Not sure if a computer has been invented to decipher what the hell he barks about.

I’ll be surprised if Dak can even stay on the field the next couple of seasons. Heading into his 30s with several injuries already... it’s going to be a tough hill for him to climb.

Seriously, I just need to get myself through these next few seasons until I can finally celebrate him exiting the building. I’m not rushing time these days, but man, I do long for that day.

Pitt has done it in every super bowl win. Ravens, Bucs in the early 2000's, KC in the previous 2 super bowls, Cincy in their loss, Rams.

You're basically almost guaranteed to not get to the super bowl w/o a strong DT tandem, one that disrupts the pocket and stuffs the middle.

Let’s not act like Stephen is the only one who feels as though Dak is one of the best QB’s in the league. There are reputable analysts and “experts” who feel the same way. I’m not saying I agree with that assessment. I’m just saying that others, outside of the FO, believe that as well.

It is so hard to build around a QB making Dak level money. Very few QB's can make up for not having elite weapons and still win tough games. Really hard to find guys who are undervalued but can still perform at a high level. With the cowboys too willing to overpay for familiarity vs the unknown it really limits their pool of talent to choose from. The boys literally had no current successful starting RB last off season and didn't even bring in kareem hunt who signed mid season for 1.2 and carried KC to the SB. But no, the boys wouldn't even reach out to him. Nor did they reach out to smithschuster who signed a 1.2 1 year deal...that's super cheap even for the 4th or 5th receiver on a team. But no we have tolbert who sucks except at camp where defenders can't touch him.

Football idiot, idgit. Honestly, you pretend to be smart how did you not get that?
It’s amazing how some fans feel they need to defend any criticism of our owner. He can be a successful businessman and horrible GM at the same time.

We are Cowboys fans. They are our favorite franchise. Most of us can walk and chew gum at the same time . Go Cowboys Boo Jethro. Not that hard. Lol

I’d like to see some current links from reputable “ experts “ stating as Stephen did that Dak is one of or the best QB.
