If No-Schott finishes with 7 victories, even if it is because of the defense, he should be gone. Have to show improvement, so a winning season should be the standard for this year.

I can’t argue with that too much although I witnessed three 5-11 in a row Campo years and a 6 win and 7 win MM campaigns .

I think Campo was given a pass for the first couple of years because cap hell was real back then and the front office put us in it and even recognized that. McCarthy had the 6-win year his first year and improved to 12 the second. He was fired after following three 12-win seasons with that 7-win year.

Garrett was the only coach that we've really given a lot of leeway to. He was the Joneses' chosen golden child and so they kept him as coach even he went 8-8 his first three years and didn't fire him even after he followed his first winning season with a 4-12 campaign. Of course, he had a decent reason since he lost Romo that year. Should have fired him after the back-to-back 8-8 years if not sooner.

A one-game improvement might be enough to keep No-Schott around, but I think if he repeats last season, they won't be patient with him unless he can successfully convince them that it is the DC's fault.

Yeah and with flapping lips that speak no substance, no words of wisdom from Ol Jerry and son. I sure hope we see a football team ready to play come Sunday afternoon, Dallas needs a quick start on offense. I hope this defense can improve over last week's showing , I bet Dallas covers the flats better this week . This defense needs to find some physicality fast , here's hoping for a 1 and 1 record and some renewed optimism.

Cowboys win this week. Eagles probably win the division unfortunately. Before the season I had Dallas but we are a game back and it will probably take time for the defense to gel.

Maybe we should just have a 4 man base Dline…..maybe we don’t have the personnel for a good 3-4. Hell, have the starting 4 down lineman be Gary-Clark-Tito-Q on the end and let him abuse a tackle with his quickness….something….big bodies across that line so we don’t get whipped like last week. Then sign Wagner to play MLB. That’s a wild lineup, but man, I’m worried this is going to continue and we just won’t run this D that well.
