Stephen thinks that waiting until the very last minute is the best way to handle signing players. It has cost the cowboys and will cost the cowboys way more money than if he was proactive. We need a new GM.

We have no idea though if Micah s camp is holding up things on his potential deal.

So, even though both Jerry and Stephen have said they haven’t even tried to contact the agent ONCE, this is all on Micah’s team - even though almost every deal in professional sports is handled by the player’s agent. Ok.

This thinking is EXACTLY why Jerry and Stephen continue doing this dumb ish of CONSTANTLY being reactive instead of proactive in getting deals done. MULTIPLE TIMES in the last 4-5 seasons, they have lost extensive cap space “waiting for the leaves to fall” around the league - watching other teams take care of star players as soon as they can to prevent stupid stuff like this AND to be able to use the new cap dollars to acquire more talent. But, why do that when they know there will always be fans that think their way of doing things is right. They know THOSE FANS will still come to the games to see them up in their booth

those fans aren't me. I can't even afford fuel, let alone game tickets. Calm down bud. We truly don't know exactly what's going on behind the scenes.

I agree that last season the way they screwed up in waiting to sign Dak and CD was ridiculous! Too much for Dak and waited too long to sign CD! However, in this go round, I don’t believe Micah deserves to be the highest paid Defensive player in the league, which is what he wants. Micah will make 24 million this season and if he kills it this year, the sky is the limit! But his stats have decreased every year since he came into the league and I would be apprehensive if I were the Cowboys too!

Jerry and Stephan have messed up both the Prescott contracts. Probably would have saved between $30 to $40 million if he was signed a year earlier combined on both. Lamb’s contract would have been about the same money wise but he didn’t need to miss all of training camp last year. The Parsons situation is just terrible from a salary cap/winning standpoint. If they would have signed Parsons spring 2024, his contract wouldn’t have been between $30 to $33 million, setting the edge market. Now it is at least $10 million more per year. I really don’t understand how this helps regardless from a business standpoint or a competitive one.

The fact is they ( meaning Jerry and Micah worked on the deal
When it was sent to the agent , that when things went south
The agent wanted to then use that as the starting point.
So no one was waiting till the last minute
They tried to extend him with a year left

If he hasn't learned anything yet he never will. Just going to keep the good ole Jones family business going.
