Stephen was asked on about a scenario where Dallas dropped from Pick 12 to Pick 25 and the returns

Course he would have I mean they got two spots down or was it three for Parsons and picked up a third rounder you want them to drop 12 or 13 spots without getting properly compensated? Apparently, they didn't get the offer for a second and 4th or they might have took it because they may have probably got Booker down there I don't know... I guess at the very least I could have got a wide receiver they're still left some good ones and maybe a running back but you don't make that move unless you get the proper compensation cause you're allowing some team to jump over you to 12 without paying for it..

The problem is nobody really wanted to trade up to 12. This is not a deep draft and the grades for each player are so close now, giving up assets is meaningless. Teams know they can pick a player with a similar grade ten, fifteen picks apart so why trade up?

I think the issue people have is from like 10 down to the 2nd round these guys all have the same grade. Same caliber of players. Which is great for us but bad for sellers.

Maybe this is why there have been rumors of the Cowboys potentially trading away players in an effort to get more choices. Because the plain old "I'll give you my second for your second and 4th" doesn't hold that much value in a thin draft.

He thinks???? So the offer must have been something worse, or for something in 2026

Pretty clear from this that it was a 2 which i would have done in a heartbeat

Those of you saying it was only future year picks are not correct

Another major fail by this FO
How is it clear? To drop from 12 to 25 Stephen said it would have "taken a 2nd and 4th and more likely a 2nd and a late 3rd".

They did not get any offers, or at least not a fairly compensated one, so they stayed where they were. At least that's how I read this.

From what I read. Houston offered a 2nd with value of 320 points. The value to drop from 12 to 25 was a 720 point difference.

Houston did not want to give up more than that 2nd.

Giants gave up two 3s to move from round 2 to first round so he’s a greedy idiot.
That’s wrong.

Giants gave up their early 2nd and two 3rds to move up 9 spots.

Stephen suggesting that a 2nd and a fourth or a third to move up 13 spots makes him a “greedy idiot”?

If you can read I said that in my post the same thing you just said but it might be hard for you to understand

Not sure how true on the radio they said it was the future unless they have refuted those claims.
