I don't want to massage your reply, but in all honesty, the circumstances behind the Brownies oowner'sremarks don't seem to be how Watson has failed as a QB but his off-field fantasies and cravings
Really? lol

Then why did they trade for him?

They gave him a contract that still hasn't been matched at the height of his troubles and did it in a way that when he gets suspended he would lose the least amount of money.

The ownership, and their fanbase, only started to care about the off the field issues when Watson sucked.

Paying him that contract will go down as the biggest mistake in franchise history. Now they will compound this by restructuring him year after year. Dak will be over a 100 million dead cap hit when he finally retires.

Dak has ALWAYS had us...RIGHT THERE...so close you could taste it. Almost Jim Kelley-ish.

This time though...we're gonna do it! We feel very confident Dak can overcome every single thing and give us a chance.

When your an oil man funding your own dig...you keep digging.

I'm just going to disregard the "Championships" mention as poor marketing.

Is Dak Prescott injury prone now?
Cowboys scrambled to get a young developmental QB for a reason. If Dak keeps getting hurt we'll see if Bazooka Joe can make Dak...Romo 2.0.
You mean like the reason they traded for Trance.

Trance did not want to stay in SF as QB3. So he got traded to a team to be a QB3.

Milton did not want to be the back up in NE. So he gets traded to Dallas to compete for the back up position in Dallas.

We have...confidence that an injury was unfortunate....as opposed to an injury we aren't entirely sure was unfortunate?
This is the guy who is inheriting the Dallas Cowboys.

I don't disagree, but we won't know the exact reason for the owner's comments. His play/injuries are all clouded by him not being able to keep his pants on...shed in secrecy. No doubt though it is all related to the mess in Cleveland

Serious question: Wouldn’t this franchise be so much better served if everyone named Jones just went on a silence vow? Wouldn’t it be best this off-season to just let the actions speak for themselves.

Stephen. Just. Shut. Up.

Nothing. I mean absolutely nothing these guys say does anything of value for their team. If Stephen Jones told us the sky is blue I would still double check while simultaneously checking to make sure my wallet is still my pocket.

Cowboys EVP Stephen Jones on @1053thefan on continuing to restructure Dak Prescott's contact: "Obviously we have a lot of confidence that Dak's injury was one of those that was just unfortunate. ... We feel like he's gonna be a healthy, productive quarterback for us that will play at the very top of his game and give us a chance to win championships."

just stop. please stop. not saying Dak is great. not saying Dak is bad. but just please stop....stop selling for a second.
you filled the team with a bunch of players nobody wanted, on a bunch of one year contracts and called it a day...now you want us to believe we are winning championships!!! with the crap you put on the field. unbelievable

We can’t go back in time and not sign him so let’s all hope for the best. Go Cowboys!!!

Yeah, Stephanie, soon as you fix the DT position it might be a possibility.
