Stephen: We go to teams all the time looking for a trade

"All the time" reminds me of last years narrative "All In".

I doubt he does it "All the time". When i look how overweight to not say fat he is he spends a lot of time with excessive eating. There is not much time left then for other things.

Cowboys EVP Stephen Jones on potential trades, like they did to acquire Brandin Cooks and Stephon Gilmore two years ago: “We go to teams all the time. We’re fishing and looking for an efficient move that makes sense from a draft pick standpoint and a salary cap standpoint. We’re always in the market for that.

“Last year was a real exception because staring down the barrel, which most people don’t have, getting Dak signed, getting CeeDee signed and ultimately getting Micah signed, which is still our goal.”

So we can expect a trade to fill a spot and the rest to be cheap FA as usual.

Now, we just need to teams to contact us about players they are going to release and at least get a late-round pick for them.

I mean, if we're not looking at free agency to fill voids and we got to teams all the time looking for trades, trades are our only hope. Of course, Dallas is looking for low-cost trades in compensation for both the team and player.

I'd assume other GMs see we gave up a 4th for Mingo and probably want a 1st for their special teams gunner.

Oh No ... I really thought 2025 would be different.

but here we go:

Jerry dashing the hopes of Cowboys fans everywhere. I think he means they will be aggressive re-signing their own guys but not going after outside free agents.

we defintley do...we give our players away for bargain basement price, like cooper for a 5th, who a few years later fetched a 3rd.
and then over pay for their garbage like Lance and Mingo...

This guy has zero credibility and talks out of both sides of his mouth…who can believe anything he says. I believe Stephen is so arrogant that he thinks he can say anything to the fans and media and that they believe him.

A trade in exchange for what, the draft picks that you count on as the ONLY means to improve?

How do you afford to do that? Oh right….every single pick you DO make will be a solid starter, most right away. Yeah we’ve seen that lately.

The Canadian and Team Hung Over leagues don't count!
