Stephen: We put zero credence into people saying we wait too long to re-sign players

Translation ...

Stephen: "We are smarter than fans!"

Fans: "How many Super Bowls have you won in the last 30 years?"

Stephen: "How many Super Bowls have you won ever" How many Super Bowls have you ever won?
See above - this fan exchange doesn't favor the fan all that much.

That said, obviously the team isn't finding the success it should, but I can't say the average fan is better equipped to make decisions on contract timing.

That is extremely arrogant. Wow

The reason they don't care is because it keeps them in the news by literally doing nothing and leaking little nuggets of useless info. That means more publicity and more media attention and more money...
Free marketing..

This statement alone tells us that he don't give a **** ..a MD it's all about the money.

Well you little prick guess what? I am not buying merchandise or going to the games and will stop watching like I did last season. In fact that stupid arrogant comment of your motivated me to start a movement to discourage people buying merchandise... Or going to games ...

I wish both of those fools would just vanish! They have ruined a proud franchise.
Whats amazing to me is that they say things like "waiting for more leaves to fall"

Like the think waiting will make their negotiation cheaper? It wont. You dont say we wont set the market to then set the market 3 weeks before the season opener. lol

The real reason is that ya'll have proven Jerry right. Jerry says deadlines make deals. Problem is that Jerry & Jr. fold when the deadline gets there. Agents have figured out the playbook & milk the clock until ya'll cave.

So, I can't say he's lying. I just don't think they've figured out they are the ones getting played.

but they can tell the difference between competence and incompetence

Great/Smart leaders accept constructive criticism.
The Jones' are just average folks trying to run an extremely complex operation.
The wheels are fixing to come off this team is a big way.
I've said it a million times. My boy who worked for the Cowboys, who has personally driven Stephen and his wife around Oxnard (and his wife back to Beverly Hills), has met Jerry and multiple other Jones members several times told me this: "dude, this team is run by a bunch of drunk rednecks that have no F'ing clue what they're going when it comes to actual football."

On some things, not on all. A lot of times fan comments are based on frustration and other emotions. And not even fans agree on all things.

Who does he have to put that final sentence into his responses.

Its like he can't help but take the bait.

Emotional maturity requires you not to react to triggers. Just say you have done it both ways, and there is another party you have to work with. Leave it at that.

Admonishing others just doesn't play well. Push the mic away and stop tallking.
They know they suck but they’re not willing to admit it.

I would agree, although most are just reiterating what they have seen/heard from ex-pros (as players and front office people) who have openly said JJ/Stephen's lack of strategy isn't a positive in re-signing their own players. And honestly, it's not a hard concept. A competent front office can forecast and make these decisions earlier than not vs what JJ/Stephen do. Now they have tried in the past to do a few major contracts early, but mainly when they thought it was going to benefit them and possibly get over on the player (majority injury based) vs beating the market (I guess Bland would be a good example though of beating the market on a smaller scale).

I agree.

People can call me negative all they like but I know what I’m seeing. The roster gets worse while the rest of the division gets better. Dak is now going to be severely limited physically, and per usual, they are counting on WAY too many rookies, and other things to go right. Those gimme division wins are gone.

I don’t even care because I already see them cracking at the criticism, and since winning is out of the question, I’d love to see Jerry fully humiliated to where he either gets himself in some trouble or even worse in his mind….an afterthought to the media.

It’s fully deserved for being selfish and refusing to do the right thing by an institution. Yeah he owns the team, and deserves all the money he makes, but insisting on running football ops at 83 after three decades of evidence of the fact that he isn’t any good at it? I don’t even think I could even fully enjoy a SB if by some miracle it ever happened….he disgusts me that much. I’m thinking that’s a bridge I’ll never see, let alone have to cross.

LOL I keep waiting for the first CZ member to blow a head gasket and demand to be traded to another NFL team forum!
