Stephen: We're open to looking at a really explosive no. 2 WR

Stephen is playing coy. Basically he said the Cowboys could be looking for anyone. Is there really an explosive receiver in this draft. :huh:
 
Sounds like a trade down into the 20's to pick up a WR is in the cards.
 

Cowboys EVP Stephen Jones indicated that the team is looking hard at WR2 moving deeper into the offseason.

“We’re still open to looking at a really explosive No. 2 that can upgrade us.”

His comments on the WR group:

“I like our room. We added [Jonathan] Mingo late in the year last year, I think him having a full offseason to work with Dak…We really liked him when he came out of Ole Miss. I really feel like he has a lot of upside. I certainly like our young guys, [Ryan] Flournoy. Obviously, Turpin brings a little something to the mix with his juice and explosion. I really like our room, but at the same time losing [Brandin] Cooks in free agency, we’re still open.”

I don't think they'd ever even think about it, but that's the kind of move that actually changes this team in 2025; the kind of move a good team makes. Pair Tyreek and Ceedee, add a dynamic runner at RB + a new blocking scheme... You could do a lot of damage on offense (provided the playcaller isn't complete garbage).
