Stephon Gilmore is at the Star today

My bet is he will only sign if the Cowboys don't get any of the corner(s) they are targeting in the draft.

Any player signed after Saturday no longer counts against the comp pick formula; if I am not mistaken.

Plot twist- Gilmore forgot some personal items left here a couple years ago and just stopped by to pick them up.

:muttley:Just kidding but doesn't that sound like something that could happen?

Then why is it three pages deep already for a story that only broke two hours ago ,

which by the way there is rumor out there in Bleacher report world that Jerry is working on two trades right now I don't know if they're going to happen but it said before the draft I don't know if it's with draft picks or players but they said they have two trades in the works now there's a lot of rumors with the Cowboys but this is on Bleacher report so it has a little bit of validity it's not just in Twitter X...

He'll be 35 in September
We need someone to be ready day one and Diggs may be out half the season. At 35 I think he can be fine till Diggs is back. Age tends to wear on you as the year goes on. We need a solid half a season out of somebody

Exactly. The Cowboys won't need Gilmore for 17 games, just two, three or four depending on how soon Diggs gets back. Then Gilly can be a depth piece.

Hopefully Kaiir Elam works out, then the Cowboys can roll with him, Diggs, and Bland in the slot.

EDIT: I would also love Gilmore to be around to mentor Elam as well.

Bring him in and see what he has in camp and preseason. It can't hurt to kick the tires.
