Stephone Gilmore

. Do the Cowboys find a way to trade for him. He would be a great addition. But I’m afraid this will be the Herschel Walker trade in reverse. Clearing room under the salary cap, as much as I speak about the cap Not ever being an issue there are always ways to manipulate it. But this deal alone would tie are hands . For three maybe even four seasons down the road. Even if we moved Jaylin, this Would put us in a bad predicament. But is it worth it if it would put us in a different category a true contender. Tough decision

You cannot afford this type of player due to the fact our offense has absorbed the majority of our cap.
Yes, there is a Cap in the NFL and every team has to build their teams taking it into consideration.

I think I would’ve got a better response if I said Richard Sherman .

no you would have a better response if you understood that we drafted a CB in rd 2 we expect to start and we have a huge huge talent deficit at the DL esp DT so what can we do to address that instead of asking to trade for an over the hill CB on the last year of his contract who is looking for a big paycheck

He has a partially torn quad and wants to get paid, he isn't becoming a Cowboy.

This is in response to Whirlwin’s post above but the quote somehow got jacked up.

Some people on here can’t read. Some don’t want to read.

Some love to jump to conclusions. Some have zero reading comprehension. Some read the first several words of your post and once they see a name they skip to the end, hit reply and post their usual drivel.

It happens all the time here. Don’t take it personal. The same people that do these things are the ones that will insult you and call you a mouth breather, even though they don’t even know what that means.

Yes, these are the same people who go to the video store and look for the movie “Deliverance” under the “Love Stories/Romance” genre. You may be able to get some idea who they are later on in this thread when they ask what the word genre means, or why do I hate on the movie Deliverance.

I hope that provides a tiny bit of clarity for you.

It’s not impossible that we trade for Gilmore, but I would personally think it is highly unlikely. A cornerback trade? Maybe. Gilmore? Probably not.

Our perceived “needs” may change a bit between now and the trade deadline. Players may step up or injuries may hit.

If we are in the hunt fir a SB at the trade deadline, we might look to shore up a weakness, but the team seems to have done that for the most part in the offseason.

You have to give MM credit for that. Garrett wouldn’t have ever been able to pull this off. We would be 0-2 right now under Garrett.

I appreciate the vote of confidence

I only asked for a Discussion. Just say I don’t understand something is ignorant. I totally understand. I think you chose not to comprehend

Stop bringing up Stephon Gilmore.

Stop creating threads wanting a trade for the OLD Stephon Gilmore.

It's not happening. Get a hold of your feelings and accept reality.

Sheesh!

Obviously you didn’t read what I was saying. I was at Gillette Stadium today and that’s all New England is talking about. There’s more than just Texas in this world And if you continue readin I wasn’t in favor of it whatsoever. Never did I write I wanted to trade for him. Sheesh.

Let them talk. Who cares what another team wants. Why feed it more fuel? Clearly, other teams are trying to get rid of their old players while getting the better end of a trade deal. Do you honestly want Dallas to fall victim to that? If your answer is "of course not", why create this thread and bring this up?

No way I trade for him
He wants a new deal and he wants huge money
At his age that is not a smart move

It’s unlikely. We all get that. But why do you care if other people discuss unlikely things? Does it somehow offend you? Injure you? Ruin your day?

I sometimes see a posters name and think:

“Man this is going to be some seriously dysfunctional drivel” and you know what, I am seldom disappointed. It’s almost always something a mentally challenged monkey might accidentally put on a computer screen.

There are some guys that I literally just laugh every time I see something they post because it is usually so far out there that it is literally almost like the “anti-matter form of intelligence”. Lol.

Don’t let it get you down. There is something here for everyone. Even the people who type like a mentally challenged monkey. (Not calling Whirlwin that, I’m actually reffing to others).

Do you think if we talk about it, that it may happen? I don’t THINK it works like that, but I have been wrong once or twice before.

That’s the response you should’ve given in the first place. Rather than insulting. It would make someone think you’re clueless. And you’re not . And if you’re really read my post. I was discussing the salary cap more than anything else

I tend to agree. Of course you could trade a very low end pick for him, agree not to franchise him if he plays this year out and then get a comp pick for him when he signs for another team.

Just for fun I may go start a thread about trading Parsons. That should be a lively conversation. Lol

Seriously, I’ve already read it. Last week before the charges. I don’t know why people bother Responding to something that they don’t wanna respond to , that’s the funny part

They must silence voices that they do not agree with. You may not speak about it.

Not sure they’d take a low end pick

But bill loves draft picks
Something like that wouldn’t be so bad except for the cost in cap
It would take most of our cap and we seriously need a big roll over since we are already over next year
