I think he should be cut he is in season 4 and hasn't progessed at all. He struggled vs SD 3rd string and has never impressed.

I think that's a pretty common sentiment right now. Besides, Carpenter looks better anyway.

Agree, he still can't read defenses well, especially blitzes. He did not have even mediocre blocking on some plays, but I have seen enough, time to go, and take #66 with him.

It's not looking too good for McGee making the final 53. A lot were questioning if we would go with 3 QB's anyway. So far he has played his way into the unemployment line. I'd like to see Carp get more snaps next week.

Carpenter was better 3 years ago in preseason too. He's 1 year younger, it's a no brainer. McGee is outta here! Even when McGee won games, it wasn't pretty. He is like Tebow out there

I honesty think if we ever had to depend on a 3rd QB we could get 1 of off FA do the same thing if not better then McGee. I think we will go 2 QB this year. If we go 3 QB it will be Carpenter IMO

Definitely cut him. Keep 2 QBs and stash Carpenter on the PS. That would open up a spot for an extra LB/DB/OL.

Agreed, he is just awful and any game he played in during the regular season would be an automatic loss.

He needs to be cut. Asap.

I think we are fine going with 2 QB's. Or I would look for a young guy who gets cut somewhere else and make him a developmental 3rd guy.

McGee has no business on our roster.

Spot on

I had hoped he would find his way. He looks slower setting up now than before. Last night was his chance to show something. Hes got Nothing.

He looked just awful. He stared down his receiver on almost every throw and his release was terribly slow. The combination allowed too much opportunity and time to read the play. McGee will be gone before the season starts.

We don't need 3 QBs. If the franchise QB and the backup both go down on a team, it's over anyway.

Been saying he shouldn't make the team for a long while now.

McGee knows that his job is on the line and he has actually regressed from last year. If the constant rumors of Dallas going to two QBs didn't motivate him to play better, he needs to go. He just doesn't have the talent to get better. Another wasted pick, that is all he has amounted to.

Been saying this since we took him at the top of the 4th round!

I agree with the general sentiment here. The shelf life for a rookie proving his worth is three years. McGee has shown very vague flashes of any long term potential. I think he's going bye bye soon. Good luck to him in the arena league or wherever he ends up.
