And made it to the SB. We will be just fine. Trust in the system.

Steve McNair was also a darkhorse heisman candidate, was someone the scouts drooled over and graded out as a 1st round pick and ended up being a top 5 draft choice.

None of which Romo can claim. Come on, get real.

OK, timout DIAF. Steve Mcnair threw 5 picks against the Youngstown State Penguins in a Championship game. And no the scouts did not drool over him. Get a grip before you lose it. Yea I know he also threw for 450 plus yards against YSU but remember we are talking YSU. Div II.

Then clearly, you are either a liar or an idiot, and I don't think you are that dumb. So that would make you a liar.

Scouts WERENT drooling over him? Then how come every magazine, every draft pundit had him near the top of their draft boards that year? It was no shock that he went top 5. He didnt have the nickname "air mcnair" at alcorn state for nothing.

Being picked 3rd overall really means the scouts didn't like him....

And the first time McNair played, he lit it up? He sat for 3 years before he saw his first action. He was part of some pretty bad teams.

Two QB's were drafted in the first round that year. Kerry Collins was one of them. Take your pick Superstar. Gee ever wonder why McNair was given so much credit.

If by "sat for 3 years before heh saw his first action" you ACTUALLY meant "started 2 games his rookie year, playing in 4, then starting 4 games his 2nd year, playing in 9" then I guess you would be right.

McNairs first 3 INT game came in his 5th year after playing in 49 games

Romos first 3 INT game came after 2 quarters

Yes they did and he was a Heisman candidate. As a native Mississppian, I got to see Steve play many times at Alcorn St. Yes it is D-II but he still would beat entire teams by himself.

Did he light it up the first time he played?

There are many div II QB's who have been successful in the NFL, and just like every other NFL QB, the vast majority of them did not light it up the first tiem they got significant playing time.

A liar?? An Idiot?? Well neither applies. Steve Mcnairs hype came from a lack of QB competition. He threw for big numbers in Div II. If you believe in the drooling over certain players maybe I should call you Steve Young. I love Div. II football. Thats why I think Romo will be fine. But understand it has nothing to do with scouts, coaches or YOU! It has everything to do with the player himself. You don't need hype to make it in the NFL. Check ot a guy by the name of Jerry Rice.

I never understood this crap. If you did not play at a big time University you suck.

Funny Brad Johnson did what at FSU besides ride the bench.

It is not about where you came from; what round you are drafted in; it is all about you do once you get in the league.

:bang2:

You said Mcnair had no hype and scouts WERENT drooling over him, and every poster in this thread confirmed you had no idea what you were talking about.

My point is simply this. Wether it be Div 1A, 1AA or whatever a player is drafted becuase of their skills. Many players have been overhyped and underhyped. My point being...No one knows who the future stars of the NFL will be. Need proof, check out all of the Heisman Busts.

Well Diaf, I think I know what I am talking about. Your stretching when you say "every post." I refuse to call you a liar or a jackass or an idiot. Just isn't me. I will say this though. Tony Romo wasn't drooled over or even a top 5 pick. He is however a Dallas Cowboy. If you are a true fan get over the name calling and jump on the Wagon. If not jump ship and choke yourself. I hear the Eagles are looking for a few fans such as you.
