Does anyone see him becoming a James Harrison type of player. They are just about the same size and people forget Harrison bounced around a few different teams practice squad before he became the devensive MVP

It is too early to be making those comparisons... and this is from probably his biggest supporter.

Octavien does have some traits that go into making a very good LB though. Just the fact that Wade Phillips likes the guy so much is a good sign, considering how much Phillips knows LB's.

Octavien plays like his pants are on fire 100% of the time. He's all over the field. He kind of has that something that you see in all great LB's.

That doesn't mean he will be a great one... but he has a chance. At the very least he's going to be a beast on special teams. Even last season, once we picked him up off of Washington's practice squad, you could see that he was all over the place and was a damn good special teamer.

Yup, I NEVER would have given Harrison a second thought a couple years ago, so you never know....... :)

I do like how active and fast he plays. However, he does seem to struggle to get off of blocks whether it's a running or pass play. Some of that can be corrected with better technique and experience, so we'll see...

Exactly, I don't want him being the next James Harrison, I'd prefer our players stay clean and steroid-free.

his major knock was that he spent too much time in the trainer's room, and his instincts weren't good, but they rave about his strength, quickness and speed

I always thought he was a bad *** at Nebraska but I didn't think he would be able to sustain a high level of play at this level.

Especially in a 3-4.

He looks like a keeper so far. I'm very impressed.

It would require lots of steriods. Thats how Harrison did it.

Extreme comparisons aside, I really love this guy. Wow, has he come a long way from last season. He was all over the field, and making plays when he arrived. I say you have to put him on the roster if he continues to play like he did last game. I like the play of Jason Williams too. He didn't have as many as Octavian, but he had two or three blitzes from the middle position and he got there in a BIG hurry. That safety was a thing of beauty.

Then, Aikman starts raving about the QB who just got sacked on the safety! He had said earlier that there were probably no impact players coming out of the '09 Dallas draft class. I feel that if Williams continues to improve, he for one could make Troy eat his words.
