Giants wide receiver Steve Smith is not practicing Friday because of a strained pectoral muscle. Indications are Smith didn't suffer a serious injury but is unlikely to face the Cowboys on Sunday.

The Giants haven't officially classified Steve Smith's status for Sunday's game against the Cowboys just yet but the wide receiver's chances of playing appear to be remote.
Smith was not at practice Friday, one day after straining his pectoral muscle.

That helps a little bit. Manningham will probably come out like a Hall of Famer.

The Giants could sign 3 guys from the Arena League on Saturday and still torch our secondary come Sunday...

So they'll be without Smith, O'Hara, Diehl and Kiwi. Let's see how they deal with adversity.

Kiwi has been out for a long time now. O'Hara has missed the last couple of games. Diehl will be missed but it is a chance to see if signing Andrews was the steal it is though to be. And Smith will be replaced by a more than capable Mario Manningham. Duke Calhoun will get playing time as well and he showed some flashes when he has gotten a chance.

The Giants have more depth than they have had in a long time. That depth will be put to the test tomorrow.

what happened to that stud WR they had in preseason? he was killing all the 2nd/3rd team Ds. watch him come in and torch oscan

OK Tom whatever you say buddy. Something tells me you won't be a big worry wort and lay in bed awake tonight. Even without Smith the G-Men should cruise to another victory.

Victor Cruz. He was IR'd about a month ago.

I'm sure every team is always worried that the Cowboys might actually play to their potential one of these games. They gotta play good one of these days..... you would think.

I always worry about Giant games. I will be nervous all day tomorrow. This is a division game. Say what you want. NFC East games are always tough.

Does it matter? They've still got Nicks and Manningham, both of whom have had big nights against Dallas in the past.

This just means whoever the unknown 4th WR is will become a star tomorrow when he's matched up in the slot against Orlando Scandrick.
