Reaching that level of celebrity, fame, and fortune for a couple decades seems to have that effect...It turns people into something like old nobility, where they just sorta drift off the societal mainstream culturally speaking and go a little queer.

Theres no check of balance, you see. Taken outside the cultural norm to such an extent that ones self is removed from its burden to conform to a certain image. It removes a lot of self moderation.

Its a line of thinking like "Of course I look good. I am rich and people flock to me like Jesus." A person's quirks and inherit weirdness can be on more or less full display without appreciable consequence.

If this IS indeed a current and accurate picture of him, he's gone down-hill awful quickly.

I saw him at a restaraunt here in Hawaii no more than 4 or 5 years ago, and he looked a lot closer to the way he always looked in the past that what this photo represents. This smacks of Keith Richards syndrome................

Not really. He's always been skinny and obviously still is. He's also not primped for a show or even being out in public. Nobody would look their best after falling off a stage, breaking their shoulder and spending time in the hospital.
