I thought people who read the article put up by a Zoner from the Seattle Times a few months ago would find this news interesting:

Associated Press

TAMPA, Fla. -- Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Jerramy Stevens was suspended without pay for the first two games of the season and fined an additional game check Wednesday for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy.
The league also said any additional violations between now and the start of the season would increase the suspension to three games. Stevens also would face additional discipline for a new violation.
Stevens signed with the Bucs in April 2007 after being released by the Seattle Seahawks following his arrest in Scottsdale, Ariz., for investigation of driving under the influence and possession of marijuana.
The former first-round draft pick was convicted of DUI in September and served a one-game suspension and was fined an additional game check for the marijuana offense. The latest suspension stems from the DUI portion of the case.
Stevens spent the first five seasons of his career with the Seahawks. He had 18 receptions for 189 yards and four touchdowns for the Bucs in 2007. He became a free agent after the season and re-signed with Tampa Bay last week.

It seems the entire Buccaneers fanbase is in an uproar about the team re-signing this guy.

The team's flagship radio station is campaigning for the team to get rid of him.

Couple that with Garcia threatening retirement if he doesn't get paid.

Looks like a mess in Tampa...........

Good. I'm tired of so many fans of other teams acting like their own players are choir boys but the Cowboys are thugs, etc. Now the Bucs fans have a reality check.

And by the way, what action is the Commish going to take against the Bucs. I thought teams would pay a penalty for signing or drafting players who have had problems in the NFL. Guess that only applies to certain teams.

They will fine the coach $500, the team $2M, and take away a first round pick. :shoot4:
