Sticky Request - Running Standings and Playoff Rankings

Thought I'd pitch a request to have a sticky where every week the playoff standings by division leaders and rankings for wildcards could be posted and updated.

I know it's early but it's good to know:
- where we stand
- who we need to root for every week to improve our position
- how tiebreakers are at play

Right now I'm seeing it as (I'm not sure about tiebreakers at this point):

NFC
East: Washington
North: Green Bay
South: New Orleans
West: San Francisco

Wildcard Ranking
1) Detroit
2) Giants
3) Tampa Bay
4) Dallas
5) Seattle/Chicago/Atlanta


You guys think this would be a great addition to the Zone?

Hostile's kind of our resident stat junkie...lets see what he thinks.

No offense, but it's far too early for this. There's no way to know who we should be rooting for, at least in most NFC v NFC games.

no offense taken but sure there's value in knowing where everyone stands in order to know what outcomes would pose the best overall position for us...even now at this relatively early stage.

I agree .. I could understand it maybe with a week to go and things up in the air, but not now.

bah humbug, come one.....the Zone is great and this could be another way to make it even better and a one-stop-shop for Cowboys knowledge. With something like this, we'd always have our finger on the pulse of our position.

Heck, I'd do the leg work.

You could just do a weekly update without it being a sticky thread. I think plenty of people would find it interesting.

Okay, I can do that...so based on this weeks standings, I'm seeing we'd need the following outcomes:

Carolina over Atlanta
San Fran over Detroit
Green Bay over St. Louis
Buffalo over Giants
Philly over Washington
Dallas over New England
New Orleans over Tampa Bay
Minnesota over Chicago

I can understand the mods and admins not wanting to worry about maintaining a sticky so I will look to post each week the playoff rankings and game outcomes I see as improving our position.
