Still a Top 5 Offense?

What say you, ye of the offensive juggernaut, score at will preseason predictions?

The offense did move the ball. We basically killed two TD opportunities with a FG n INT.

I don't care where we stand as far as stats, I just want the wins. We can win 21-0 next week with all points coming from D/ST and I would be happy.

We might have the best OL in the NFL, and our receivers get open (if the QB sees them).

If Romo isn't throwing lame ducks out there i'd definitely say top 5.

Not sure who you're trying to bait but ranking an offense or any part of the team after one week is silly. We can move the ball we know that. Turnovers will kill any team

I didn't think we had a top five offense last year when some stats suggested it. Definitely not now, either.

Its not..its a great offense against bad teams and a horrible offense against teams that can punch us in the face

They mustered 10 points and a garbage time TD against a depleted defense

Agree 100%. But we have people on here saying that the defense looks to be improved over last year. Others have commented about a few of the new guys being somewhat impressive. It works both ways. After one week people also need to taper their enthusiasm about what they perceive as positives.

I always thought we had top five talent. Romo is confusing. He can make a horrible O-line and lack of weapons look like a top 10-15 offense, but then you can give him an elite O-line and weapons and he'll make it look like a top 9-14 offense. He was absolutely pathetic today and earned all the criticism he's gotten over the years. Then he'll look really good and make you feel sorry for him for getting criticized. And then once you get some faith in him he'll go out and have a game like today.

I know it's smart to invest in the trenches but I honestly don't see three 1st rounders on the O-line making us much better than a bunch of scrubs. I'm seeing the same things that I saw with David Arkin and Phil Costa.

On paper, it could be. In reality, it often comes up short in areas of execution and strategy.

I realize this team needs the offense to be top-notch, but we have seen little evidence of that being the case since the club left for Oxnard.

For all those wanting more play action, anyone realize that all 3 of Romo's INT's came off play action? Even though we were running the ball well, the Niners weren't buying it the whole game.
