Still Hope it Does Not...

...come down to a FG attempt to win. Suisam had a great night (does not seem to have been mentioned much...unless I missed it). With that being said, I'm not completely comfortable with him.

Not to drudge up the recent past, but I really hope that Folk takes the time to properly prepare for next season (fully rehab the hip, or whatever he needs to do)..and has an opportunity to come to camp the kicker he used to be. I'd hate to see him end up with someone else.

What I really liked about Suisham was that, unless there's one I'm forgetting, every kick was dead down the middle. The 48 yarder started a little right and drew right down the gut, just like you'd draw it up.

But I remember Wade said that's how he practiced last week, that he wasn't just sneaking them in but was splitting the uprights.

He did miss one in his first game with us though....that's why it's still a little nerve racking when he comes in. I also happened to be watching the Saints/Skins game when he missed the chipshot for the win....pair that with our woes with Folk and it's no wonder I have trepedation (good word, huh) when it comes to our kickers....

Folk may never be the same from the hip surgery. This may be a case where its more physical than mental unfortunately.

Oh, I don't trust Suisham that much either. But at least his last performance was pretty much perfect. Maybe that will give him confidence for this game.

And I still put some stock in the fact that Parcells liked Suisham. That has to speak well for SS's mental toughness, because I don't think Bill would tolerate anyone he saw as mentally weak.

His over 80 % fg percentage in regular can't complain. He definitely appears more stable than first go round w/ Cowboys. Hopefully he sticks because the Cowboys have had kicking problems for years. Do not want to go there.
Heres to suisham making the winning kick in Superbowl Buyah!!!!:star:

Well I don't ever want it to come down to FG to win because kickers are the most unpredictable beasts on the planet. But Suisham has done everything you could want, drilling that 48 yarder gave me confidence in him.

Every FG kicker is missing their kicks. I think this is just a bad year for kickers. You saw Graham miss a couple for Cincy, Rackers missing one that would have won the game and those were kicks that weren't very far in distance. You just have to hope Suisham makes them when he is put in that situation.

I think any team that lets a win come down to a kicker is asking for trouble.

Neil Rackers missed a 34 yard field goal and to say he missed implies that he nearly made it and that was as about as bad of a 34 yard indoor field goal attempt as one could ever expect to see.

Arizona should be sitting at home right now because of that miss.

Good news is, Sushi seems to make the long ones with ease but the bad news is he tends to yank the short ones.

That is 90% mental...and the other half is physical.

I'd rather see us have another blowout victory in the Superbowl.

Me neither.

I want to blow them out.

If it isn't close, a kick won't matter.

Throttle them.
