Did you have to pick a star whose most famous song was "New York, New York?" :p:

Stadium isn't even full yet and this place is ridonkulously loud. Can't hear the person next to you loud when the crowd cheers.

I don't see the star at midfield.

Never has a painted piece of turf caused so much consternation. Relax. It's there. It's underneath a turf cutout and will be ready for the opening kickoff.

as compared to Texas Stadium, can you tell if the design of the new stadium will be louder? 6:49
It will be louder because there's more people. I don't think teams felt Texas Stadium was a difficult place to play. Not that it was a wine and cheese crowd but it didn't get as loud as other places. With 100k plus, this place will be plenty loud - even with the roof and doors open. Bradie James just brought the team together before stretching and he had a big-time intense look to him.

John Madden and Pat Sumerall are together again ... sitting in Jerry's suite. We'll try to find out who else is in the building of note. I saw Michael Irvin on the field a bit ago.

James probably got that old LSU Death Valley vibe while hearing the crowd. It used to really pump him way up for games.

is it just me, or does Lovie Smith look a little bit like Patrick Crayton?

of course his eyes aren't as bugged out, but not many people's are
